Description: Welcome to Misiones de Kino Pasta Bella & Bar “Where Mexico and Little Italy meet for a true culinary experience” We have dedicated our Restaurant in honor of Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino Eusebio Francisco Kino (August 1645 – March 15 1711) was a priest from a town in what is now northern Italy. For the last 24 years of his life he proved that Baja California is not an island but a peninsula by leading an overland expedition there. By the time of his death he had established 24 missions and visitas (country chapels or visiting stations). Misiones de Kino is our “visita” (visiting station) for new and old friends, to share wine and break bread with each other. We welcome you to come and enjoy the tranquility and seclusion of an early Baja style Mission. Misiones de Kino specializes in authentic Mexican, seafood dishes and exquisite Italian cuisine, all brought to you by our family Trattoria.

Due to a travel day we went to Misiones for a late lunch / early dinner at 4pm. They supposedly open at 3pm. On arrival, the doors were open and so we went to sit down but were told that they were not ready and to come back. We were not impressed.

Thank monday

We loved this place! Lots of locals and tourists. Great service with helpful recommendations. The octopus was the best we have ever had. I had the shrimp with Diablo sauce the first night and lobster the second night. We would have been there for a 3rd if we had more time. Margaritas were huge. Bar area is good fun. Try their tequila in the barrel- very smooth. Ambiance is great and not tacky like the marina area.

Nice ambiance and rich Tortilla soup but overall not memorable. Artifacts on the walls, soft lighting and music provide an encouraging start but the 'experience curve' goes down from there ie: Margarita arrives AFTER the main course, asked for water, got a bottle but NO glass. In case you are wondering, it's not that crowded.

I followed their advise and got the shrimp with the claimed to special house garlic sauce. Nice, not special. Well chosen and properly cooked ingredients but not as memorable as Maro's shrimp and lobster. Now, on the other hand the Margarita is a piece of art.

Not inexpensive either.

All and all, I won't remember it in a year from now. There are much better places in Cabo.

Every year we try to find one new restaurant, this year after a day of sportfishing our our host Redrum sportfishing suggested we have Missiones De Kino prepare our fish for us, he took care of everything from cleaning to delivery of the fish and it was excellent. They prepared our fish with starters of Sierra cevichi along with Yellowtail tuna sashimi mexican style and then for dinner they prepared the rest 5 different ways with rice beans and vegies, the tequila was great, the restaurant has a wonderful mission decor. We can't wait to go back and try the menu.

We went to Cabo several years ago and ask locals for a place to eat. They led us to Misiones De Kino and we still talk about Israel's sauce. We are going again in August with some other friends and this will be the first place we eat!!!
