Description: WELCOME TO MARÍA CORONA ….Celebrate México and its rich culinary tradition in every bite! Romantic atmosphere, beautiful patio, warm service and memorable Mexican cuisine, fine dining. Dedicated to our grandmother Maria Corona born in 1916 in Mexico City, here you will find her traditional recipes along with her cooking secrets as they’ve been handed down from generation to generation. Our restaurant serves as an honorable guardian and preserver of the traditional Mexican cuisine and cooking methods. The mole is made from scratch from the toasting of the chiles to grinding of the almonds in traditional stone “metate” . Our tortillas are handmade, the salsas are prepared in prehispanic stone molcajetes, Guacamole prepared at your table…. Everything is done in the purest of Mexican Cooking Traditions. Located in the heart of downtown San Lucas with indoor or patio seating. Live music and folcloric dances nightly from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Octuber to July - Open for lunch and dinner from Noon to 11pm. August to September Open from 4 pm to 11 pm Amazing Sunday Brunch from 10 am to 2 pm

Great Mexican food a block away from the tourist area. They have a combo of my 2 traditional favorites, Mole and Chile Relleno. Margaritas are perfect.

Our captain and first mate from the CaboSailing sunset cruise recommended Maria Corona for dinner on Christmas Eve after our cruise. We walked a short way to restaurant for some drinks and a light evening meal. What a nice place! We enjoyed speaking with our waiters, Luis and Ulises, one of whom was from our hometown of Marietta, Ga! What a small world. The tortilla soup was so good, and the other guests enjoyed the molcajete (sp?) and fajitas. The atmosphere is great, with a mariachi band that was very good playing outside on the porch. Our only wish was that Mr. Churro, a street cart, had remained open later so that we could have gotten a yummy churro after dinner, but it was Christmas Eve!

The youngest - age 14 - wanted tacos. And our favourite joint (Asi y Asado) was closed. So we ambled into Cabo, unprepared, without reservations, wanting good Mexican food without fuss or vast expense. Maria Corona is an inviting spot, fairy lights beckon in the outdoor garden seating area. The staff were friendly and professional. And the food was delicious. We ordered shrimp and fish ceviche, as well as the Mexican fondue to start. The ceviches were both fresh and tasty, and the fondue, which I approached with trepidation, was interesting and fun. I wouldn't have ordered it, but enjoyed having a spoonful, as did everyone else at our table! Everybody was satisfied, and happy. Highly recommended.
