There's a reason why Gardenias has been in business for a long time, and that's the quality of what they serve. Essentially a shack along a dusty road heading towards Medano Beach and the backside if the Marina. An open kitchen is run by what look like grandmothers who consistently serve a quality range of choices. The ceviche is love it or hate it... The seafood prepared fresh per order, and doused in Clamato juice... It's massive and a meal in itself. The tacos feature fresh tortillas and excellent fillings... I don't like Baja style deep fried shrimp or fish, but can say that all of the griddled choices are superb... Including shrimp, beef, chicken, etc. Very fresh side ingredients and a few sauces are served. Other unique offerings are a seafood soup and molcahete concoctions. The frozen drinks are excellent albeit not cheap, for instance the mango margaritas are finished with a Mexican herbal liquor, offering depth of flavor. I will continue to return every time in Cabo.

Not far from Medano beach is a great whole in the wall family owned and run restaurant; Gardenias.
They have ice cold beer, freshly made margaritas and great ceviche and shrimp and fish tacos. Each taco comes with a huge assortment of salsa, lettuce, onions, peppers, pico etc. so you truly create your own. tHis is what a taco stand should be.
Great lunch spot without breakinf the bank like most cabo spots.

If you want good authentic fish/shrimp tacos please go here. Nice laid back simple dining. Definitely not a tourist trap. Inexpensive eats & I want some of that seafood soup next.

Enjoyed great shrimp and fish tacos at this low key restaurant. Fed 4 of us with tacos and drinks for lunch for $35. Wanted to go back, but it was our last day. Wish we had found this place earlier.
