Cannot be faulted in any way. Helpful and welcoming owners.
Great location near to A39 route. Convenient to North Devon coast resorts plus Exmoor, Barnstable, Instow and Bideford. Two miles from (NT) Arlington Court and carriage museum. Lynton and Barnstable narrow gauge railway.
Great garden, cream teas available in the warmer weather.

Room Tip: Swallow is an excellent room South.

We've just had a fantastic stay with Gail and Jim. Delicious breakfasts and evening meal and great to have use of lounge to chill out after a day of cycling! Lots of good advice on places to eat in the evening.

It's getting to be a bit of a six monthly habit! Of course it was wonderful at Gail and Jim's as usual. That is why we keep going back - whatever challenges life throws , whatever the weather they remain calm, kind, hospitable, interesting, quirky, humourous.... and very caring. They are just so great at being welcoming, yet not overbearing, they live by the maxim "treat others as you would like to be treated." Kentisbury Mill is warm, comfortable, clean and tucked into a beautiful corner of the Devon countryside. We can't imagine not wanting to keep returning.

Jim and Gail are wonderful hosts, just the right balance of friendliness without being intrusive, a very relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are superb and so are the breakfasts. The grounds are great for strolling around. The only noise outside your bedroom window will be the gentle sound of bird songs.
My wife and I stayed here for a week pre Jubilee celebrations and will definately be returning. There are plenty of places to eat withing a short drive of the property.
We cannot recommend this hotel enough. If you want to stay in a quiet location with first class hosts who provide those little touches to make your stay special then choose Kentisbury Mill.

Room Tip: The bed in Swallow is enormous and very comfortable, with a great shower room.

Spend three night with the wife and two friends. Easy to find and easy to park. Rooms exceptionally clean. Breakfast first class.

For people who enjoy looking at the stars the clear sky here is wonderful.

Handy for all tourist attractions.

Room Tip: They are all good

We were lucky enough to get back to Jim and Gails at short notice for NYE for a Murder Mystery event. The best NYE both of us have ever had. Jim and Gail were as usual great fun, excellent hosts, and provided amazing company with two guests/friends to share the murder mystery event. Our sixth visit.. and the best yet!!! We just love this place and those two ...

Room Tip: They are all good!!

Although we arrived late with our daughter, we received a very warm welcome by Gail and Jim into a guest lounge, with a pot of tea and delicious cake. Myself and my husband stayed in Wren, which is a lovely cosy room. Our daugher stayed in Magpie which is a very spacious single room. Both rooms are spotlessly clean and nicely furnished with lovely finshing touches. The choices for breakfast are fab and tasty. While we only stayed for a night our daughter stayed for almost 3 weeks! Gail and Jim are fantastic hosts and are very kind people who really put themselves out for our daughter. We cant rate the beautiful Kentisbury Mill highly enough and are returning ourselves next year. Wonderfull!!! Thank you Gail and Jim!!
