Visited for the first time today & had a fantastic time. Able to get up close to such a huge variety of owls as well as having a little peek at a couple of 3 week old owlets! A lot of the females were also nesting so intending to return to see if there are any more new arrivals. Trystan is a wealth of information & makes learning about the owls interesting & fun whether you are out amongst the aviaries or inside at one if the flying displays. Looking forward to my next visit already, of which I'm sure there will be many.

One of the best wee finds I've came across. Tucked away in the grounds of Polkemmet country park, the Scottish Owl Centre is an informative, fun day out for all ages. There's lots to see and do and the owl displays are amazing to watch. You come away with an admiration for these birds you hardly ever see. Highly recommend a visit.

Took my niece and nephew (9 and 10) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Didn't realise there were so many different types of owls and the info. boards are great.
it was fairly quiet so we had plenty of opportunity to speak to the staff who were very friendly and knowledgeable. And it was lovely to hear some of the personal stories behind the owls.
The flying display was excellent. The kids were excited and enthralled to be so close to the owls. They took in lots of info. too. When we got home we looked up the photographer behind the name of the tawny owl.

It was a lovely day so we spent some time in the large playpark outside and then popped back in for another visit before heading home.

Wonderful to see so many of the owls nesting. Worth going back soon to see if there are lots of babies.

You can take a picnic or have lunch or fab cakes in the cafe outside.
Would recommend for a family outing

Great wee day out. Lots and lots of owls and the information boards are super.
We went to the owl display, and the gentleman was very easy to listen to and learn from, and passionate about his work.
The Owls during the display were in touching distance, which excited my 2 year old no end.
There is a large play park to keep the kids entertained.

I had no idea that there were so many varied species of owls - amazing to get the opportunity to see these up close. The birds are all very healthy and well looked after, the centre clean and the staff obviously passionate about their jobs. My 9 year old loved it - particularly the thrill of an owl flying just past his head at the display. Also great coffee and cakes in the cafe across the courtyard.
