Traveling the Baja and decided to stop in St Ignacio. So glad we lucked into this B&B! We stayed the night in a yurt, surrounded by palm trees, a new experience. Wonderful hosts who are friendly and a wealth of info on the Baja. Great breakfast and conversation. So much more fun than a concrete hotel on a highway! We will be back.

Room Tip: The yurts are one bed or multiple, amazing experience. They also have more traditional concrete str...

What a surprise to come across this oasis of green tucked off the road after driving hours through barren desert. Terry and Gary, cook and care for their guests as if every one of us is one of their best friends. The setting nestled up against the river is relaxing, whether you are sitting in a lounge chair or paddling a kayak. The yurts are well equipped and spacious and the town nearby has a square with a canopy of trees more lush than any I have seen. At night, you gather around the outdoor dining table to share stories and life adventures — mostly you could listen to their life adventures and be entertained and fascinated, sometimes incredulous all night long. They give generously of their talents, time and true interest in each of their guests.

Such a beautiful oasis. They have made an admirable effort to stay with a soft environmental impact. The river was wonderful for swimming or kayaking (kayaks are provided free) they have yurts that are amazing. Comfortable beds with everything you need. Meals are available if you book them and we were very happy with what we had. Breakfast is included and is great. Very friendly hosts. An extremely enjoyable stay.

We had the pleasure of staying here for one night and wish we could have stayed one week. This is the place to stay if you ever find yourself in San Iggy :) We are traveling the Baja with a 2 year old and the hospitality here felt as if we were a part of the family. The place has kayaks you can use and cruising around in the lagoon can be a full day if wanted. If you ever find yourself off the beaten path....... Stay here you won't be disappointed!

It's a small collection of cabins and yurts under a forest of palm trees - cool and inviting, plenty of parking. Canadians Terry and Gary are committed to making you comfortable and keeping you well fed. Breakfast is a bracing omelet or scrambled eggs with wonderful homemade bread toasted and spread with your choice of a half-dozen home-made jams and jellies. There's a huge bowl of help-yourself fruit and fresh-squeezed orange juice, plus an endless mug of coffee. And then you're off for whale watching, or a cave painting excursion. Terry will help with the arrangements - you'll need a full day to get over to the San Ignacio Lagoon to see the whales. A trip to see cave paintings can last several days. Or just hang around and swim or kayak in the spring-fed stream. The rooms, whether cabin or yurt, have plenty of room, comfortable beds and screened windows to allow in the lovely cool night breezes. Book dinner under the stars, if available. Reasonably priced, you'll be very well looked after.

Owners Gary and Terry and the perfect hosts and the setting is beautiful. This is the best place to stay - especially if you are planning a whale watching trip in Laguna San Ignacio. The breakfasts are delicious and the beds are very comfortable. I give this B&B my highest rating and look forward to a return visit.

Room Tip: Choose a yurt if you like to sleep in the round - or a unit with right angles - they both sleep very...
