Having been to this hidden gem once before for a drink, we decided to return today to sample the food and so glad we did.
Hubby had the scallops with pea puree and bacon for starter and then we both had pan fried cod with a herb topping served with a potato and beetroot croquette and savoy cabbage and it was absolutely delicious. Lovely atmosphere, good service and excellent food, well worth a visit.

7 of us went for Sunday lunch. 5 had excellent meals, 2 had terrible meals (same dish - lamb). Those who went for the roast dinners had a lovely meal - beef and pork was excellent. My brother (never have the same meal as him, it is always bad) had the lamb as did his wife; this was not the roast option. Portions were small but that wasn't the problem, the lamb was super tough and my sister in law couldn't eat it. We did complain and the staff dealt with this all very well. When the bill came, they had taken off the lamb and they had given us our coffees for free.
We would go back there.

Have often visited here for lunch when in the area, top service, top food and good beers. 'Local' feel to the place and always made welcome. Go there.

It is described as, "Marlow's Little Secret" and it is. I have driven part The Queens Head on many occasions and never knew it was there. What a delightful 16th Century Country Pub well worth a visit if you are in the area. I went for lunch with a friend and it was cosy. Friendly staff, attentive without being obtrusive. Very fresh food and a good choice. There were a lovely selection of "specials" all explained to us and the food was great. A very fresh pork starter with leaves and cashew nuts followed by fish and chips, freshly made and lovely and hot. Not very adventurous, correct, but it was great. Lovely atmosphere to the place and clean. A great experience and I shall return.

We came as a group for Sunday lunch .. first time in the place. It seems to be run by a very efficient group of young people at front of house..Food was very good quality, well presented, although portions were a bit small for the price asked. The whole event was very good and our tip indicated this. If they take on board the portion size comment, we will be back many times.

Only observation was, that the drinks menu spells all the Malt Whisky's with the american "e", so I think the owners may be originally from the USA.
