The decor of the rainforest adventure gold is really good. They have two courses, both are very average and not very hard even for kids.

“over priced dissapointment”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

I went with my girlfriend to this place one afternoon during the week after hearing all the ads for it on radio. thinking it was going to be crazy golf and full of adventure. We walked in and it was all looking promising, wel presented staff and great decor then we went to pay. it was a 10er for a round which i thought was ridiculous as a full 18 hole golf course during the week costs around 14 euro but i thought it was so dear due to the expected promise of a wacky round design.
it was terrible, most hole lasted a few seconds, with either straight shots to the whole or simple bends in the design. the most "adventurous" wholes had the odd tunnel or knocking of rocks to guide the ball in but that was it!!!
no windmills, no loop the loop style rollercoasters for the ball, no animals opening their mouths, you know the normal things you would expect from a round of crazy golf.
this place needs a re-vamp, i actually thought it was daylight robbery, i had more fun shopping in tescos which was right next door!!!
i strongly dont advise this! could u imagine coming here with a family??!!

“Great family activity”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

Brought our 2 daughters (5&2) and a friend (5) this morning. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Children loved both courses and the decor. Had great fun. It's not too hard ( as reviews state below) but that's what makes it fun for all.

“Exactly the experience I thought/ hoped it would be.”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

Furthermore it is precisely the type of idea that I think should be more familiar a sight in Dublin shopping centers.

After recently returning from years living in S.E Asia, Manila in particular and seeing the variety and frequency of 'in-Mall' attractions there (indoor ice skating and roller-coasters etc) I was pleasantly surprised when told about 'Rainforest Adventure Golf'. It is the first time I can recall such an option being available here i.e. an activity beyond actual shopping, with the exception of stopping for a coffee and scone. So with my fiance, off we went.

One can only applaud the concept being put in to action and where else but in Dundrum, one of very few Mall-style shopping centers in Ireland with real estate enough to accommodate 36 putting holes.

Inside: one is greeted with an open and bright cafe (delicious coffee) and a cashier, where it is a 30 second process getting your putters and setting off. The round it self was straight-forward but I didn't expect that my putting skills would be challenged anymore then a putting green, or that the Rainforest Golf was a PGA course (as one of the previous reviewers seemingly thought). The holes are well laid out; surrounded by Amazonian type trees and ferns, all shapes and sizes of rock, animated monkeys and an animated glowing, crystal skull.

There are various promotions (bring your own beer nights) and discounts advertised, which you may want to search for online before going.

“Very Disappointing”
Reviewed April 21, 2012

I firstly want to say that I completely agree with 'BlastMonkeys' review.

My experience of visiting here was with my girlfriend. We went around lunchtime on a thursday afternoon and thought that this would be a great way to spend an hour or two. We were bitterly disappointed. The 1 member of staff that was there was very nice, but the price and the golf courses are awful. The individual holes are far to easy and pretty much all the same without any gimmicks. We finished one of the two courses in 20 minutes and didnt even want to try the other. Its a real shame for what potentially could be a lot of fun. Make the holes more challenging and fun, otherwise, I dont seeing this place lasting very long, as its far from 'an adventure'!
