Three of us came here for lunch. We all tried a different dish and all 3 were excellent. The mok paa was lovely (no bones), the coconut dish with herbs was delicious. The lap was excellent as was the noodle stir fry, Laos style. The restaurant was not busy and the service was good, not waiting long for our meals. Well worth a try

We ate here every lunch in the village. You can choose between Lao, Asian and western food. Good salads. Really tasty tempura chicken. Very good fresh fruit shakes. Not expensive.

Came here after seeing all the signs advertising Vongmany and then our hostel owner recommending it, but dinner was a let down. My meal came 10 minutes after my boyfriend had finished his. Not exactly rare in s/e Asia but it wasn't worth the wait. I ordered the Mok Paa after the friendly waiter said it was the best on the menu but it had no flavour at all. Just bony fish with coconut milk and rice. No coriander in sight as was listed in the menu. The fries were homemade though and pretty tasty and the fruit shakes were okay, but i don't think i'll be going back with all the other options available here.

But its a small village and you're not in a hurry so don't worry too much. The food is worth it. After several disasters elsewhere we stuck here for most meals. And waking our waiter up to order our lunch wasn't the end of the world! The sandwiches are tasty and much better value than nearby CT. The chips (french fries) are among the best I've ever had.

Came here twice and ordered Mok Paa - steamed fish in banana leaf with veggies - twice. It's delicious as was the other food. Even the sticky rice was the best we've had in this town. Run by a friendly family. Also great cocktails - try the Lao
Chito. All very reasonably priced. If only all food could be this good.
