The church is beautiful and is a place you don't want to miss if you go to San Miguel, but if you're traveling in your own car, be careful, last sunday 6 or 7 cars were opened and everything was stolen.

This old Church is just 11 kilometers outside San Miguel de Allende and is one of the oldest and most important of the holy sites in Mexico. It has some very fine examples of Mexican chapels within a church.

We did a day out to the Galleria Atoetonilco, the Sanctuario and to the restaurant El Flaco Coyote. Great day. Maybe on their own none of these would be fab, but together they are. then caught the local bus home!

Known as the Mexican Sistin Chapel for the nice paintings in the celling and walls, but the do not respect the openning times, had to go three different types until I found it open, and even though was a testricted visit. Bad for tourism!

We arrived early to tour the Santuario. We lost time and the church started to fill with parishioners. Deciding to stay a few more minutes, we were drawn into the service and stayed.
