“Not really good for a good rest”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

The room was clean and the hotel preaty, as all the city... however you can hear EVERYTHING from your room, from someone having a shower on the floor avobe, to people walking out side your room.
Was imposible to have a good night of sleep.
Other othan that I have no complains on the hotel, but for me a good night is the turning point.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in second floor/

We only spent one night in the hotel, but we liked it a lot. Everyone was kind and helpful. The gardens are beautiful. I would definitely stay again in this hotel in my next visit to San Miguel. This is a perfect hotel for events!

Very helpful staff. Even found me a place to buy a swim suit as I forgot mine. Clean pool but not h heated for those cool days. Clean rooms with soft and comfortable linens and sleep through the night beds.
The breakfast buffet is half Western and half Mexican food and very filling.
Rooms are very expensive in my opinion for San Miguel starting around $100.00 a night when I was there. I stayed during a conference on 2nd visit and paid a discounted rate which was a super bargain rate for a hotel with free breakfast buffet and pool.
Great location on Sterling Dickson and a block from Instituto so close to Hecho en Mexico restaurant which is super good and across the street from Hecho is a great ice cream shop with free samples.
The front desk was very willing to print out several documents for me for a business meeting.

Room Tip: Ask for room on first floor facing pool which gives you sliding glass doors out to the pool and nice...

My wife and I stayed in this hotel, it has a great location just 15min walk from the Catedral,
it has a great garden, the staff is very helpful, it has its own parking lot and is Pet Friendly Thumb up on this!
Thumbs down, internet access is not good and the rooms are quite old, need some new decoration.

Room Tip: ask for room on the 3rd floor, so you don't hear footsteps

The reason we choose this hotel was because we travel with our dog. The facilities were ok, very clean and the room size was very good.

They only should need an space outdoors to be with your pet, because they ask you not to walk with the dog all arround the hotel.

But our stay was nice,
Quality vs cost was a nice combination.

My husband and I stayed here for one evening at the end of a 10 hour drive from Laredo TX. Just walking into the dimly lit, cool, large, open lobby put me at ease. Then we went to our room and I was very unhappy! Our room faced west and with the sun beating on it all afternoon, the temperature must have been 90 degrees. We tried to make the hand-held a/c control given to us by the front desk work, but it didn't. There was balcony, no view. We made a beeline for the hotel bar for margaritas. While I was sipping mine, my sweet husband went to the front desk and asked for a room with a balcony overlooking the pool. A manager was called and he found us a room - after first saying the hotel was completely booked. They helped my husband move the luggage to the new room. I was very pleased with the room although there was a very, very large outdoor light fixture about 20 feet from our balcony that stayed on all night. Thank goodness for the blackout curtain, so that didn't bother us. We our dog with us, no pet fee, lots of grass and grounds for walks with her.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool.

This is a hotel that time has pass by. Probably was a good choice twenty or thirty years ago. Now is overcharge and outdated. Staff is attentive. Definitely overprice and over rated. Will not stay at this hotel again, as there are much better choices.

Room Tip: For what you pay at this hotel you can find much, much nicer place with a better location and attitud...
