“Learn the local market and how to make a mean mole'!”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

A twenty year veteran of San Miguel, Kris Rudolph had lots of interesting insights to Mexican cooking. Learn how to navigate the local market and select from local ingredients. Class - fun and informative. Squash dish was ok but guacamole and mole sauce delicious. Ask Kris about her other cooking tours outside of Mexico and her adventures as a local restauranteur!

“Mexican cooking, eating, shopping-all great!”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

Kris Rudolph produces a wonderful experience for cooks and their friends in San Miguel. The 5 day class we took included daily cooking classes in a fantastic kitchen right in the spectacular B&B we stayed in; trips to the market to shop for food to cook later as well as snacks and kitchen souvenirs; day trips and a tour of San Miguel artisans. We came home with a dozen recipes, some great jewelry and craft items and lots of great stories. If you like to cook, meet others who enjoy cooking and eating and want to get a good feel for the local culture, you can't beat this cooking school.

“Fun evening!”
Reviewed July 6, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I attended Kris' Thursday night cooking class and learned to make mole, chile rellanos, cactus salad and guacamole. Kris was fun to be with and very knowledgable about San Miguel, food preparation, and the local restaurant scene. We loved talking with her about everything from food to politics to San Miguel. Her kitchen is amazingly beautiful as was the patio we ate our prepared dinner and drank margaritas on. It was a very enjoyable evening and one I would recommend to couples or groups looking for a fun evening out learning about traditional Mexican food (and more!)

“An wonderful experience”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

I absolutely loved taking a class from Kris at her cooking school. The space is AMAZING. It's also part b&b, part giant, gorgeous kitchen. The perfect place to relax with a margarita and learn traditional Mexican cooking techniques from a hilarious and experienced teacher. Kris has been living and teaching cooking class in Mexico for more than 20 years and is very knowledgeable plus super fun to learn from. And the food! The techniques were really interesting, but approachable. Anyone (men, women, young, not so young) would enjoy it - she makes it fun for everyone!! I went with my mom, an aunt and a friend and we had a blast.
