“Great cycling with history tour”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

We had an amazing day with Alberto, cycling in the chapparal, and exploring rural Mexico near San Miquel. He was set up to offer us a challenging ride (set our bikes up with cleats, had excellent equipment, and was highly experienced). He created a unique experience, with a physically challenging and fun ride and great info about history, ecology, and culture. Highly recommended.

“Great Bike Ride”
Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

Very nice bike ride. Excellent guide and service. We reserved everything online and they were waiting for us when we got there. Ver good bikes. A fun way to see the outskirts of San Miguel

“Incredible Mountain Biking Experience”
Reviewed November 9, 2011

Alberto (Beto) Martínez runs the oldest bike shop in San Miguel de Allende (started by his father). We did two of his tours -- #2 and #6. Although he can provide them, we brought our own helmets and shoes (he has SPD pedals if needed). The rental bikes are Cannondales – well maintained and better than most of the bikes I have rented in the past.
Beto is an excellent guide and passionate about the history of the area. The rides were either on dirt roads or burro paths. The paths were generally nice single-tracks, but some long sections of the roads were rock gardens which were rough and challenging.
If you cycle and want to get away from the standard tourist spots, a tour with Beto will be the highlight of your stay in San Miguel.
