The atmosphere is fantastic! It's an old hacienda type stone building with lots of character.
The owner and his family greeted us at the door and sat us in a very old world, comfortable room in view of baskets full of fresh mangos.
All the fresh fish of the day are brought to the table for your selection. I ordered the red snapper which was perfectly and lightly done both times I've visited. The price varies, so be sure to as for the market price.
Complimentary appetizers were delivered by the youngest son, probably 8 yrs. old and completely professional. He wore his white jacket and black pants and carried a white, crisp towel to good effect. I asked for a received a meatless appetizer.
For dessert and a great treat, ask for the fresh fig and nut ice cream, which is not listed on the menu, and is house made. The clientele was mixed Americans & Mexicans and was not loud on either visit. Nice bar with all mixed drinks.
Very nice service. After our meal we were brought into the kitchen to meet the owner's wife and other cooks...We speak spanish, so this likely helped.
Now open in new location for dinner Friday, Sat. & Sun. and Sun. lunch.
