“just went to the wine cellar and it was a nice experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2011

had an outrageous conversation with a young waiter, not sure if true about this American's quest to find his father somewhere in Mexico. Story was interesting. Just went for wine after dinner elsewhere, but very nice, newly remodeled restaurant. One of the more elegant.

“Unexpectedly delicious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2011

Having read quite a few negative reviews, I wasn't expecting much and was prepared to order lightly. Went with a group of 4 to hear a friend sing (so had to go!). Everything was delicious! Service was impeccable. We had the citrus salad, the salad with shrimp, and the trout amandine, Everything was just perfect. And the citrus salad dressing was really exceptional. Not to mention that it just might be one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city. I would definitely recommend Carcassonne to anyone who is looking for an enjoyable dining experience.

“lovely dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2011

We had a lovely dinner here. We ordered the escargot and the seared tuna in tamarind sauce to start. Both were fantastic! Our entrees were good but not great. We ordered the mussels in white wine and the pasta with shrimp in roquefort. Both dishes were a little too mild and could have used more seasoning. We went late on a Monday night and we were the only customers so it felt like a private dining experience. The restaurant is very pretty and the waiter was extremely attentive but not pushy. The satellite radio with Sinatra was a nice touch.

“don't waste your $ or your time going here”

Way overpriced and there is NOTHING for vegetarians. Stay home or eat elsewhere.

“Stay away, beautiful to see, just don't eat.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2010

The menu was very limited and the food not well prepared. The filet mignon was tough and not good. The jumbo shrimp were five small/medium shrimp. Definitely over priced for what we received. The restaurant is beautiful and the service very good; too bad the food is not equivalent. Very limited wine list.
