“Thermal baths offer relaxation”
Reviewed March 3, 2014

I took a bus from San Miguel de Allende to La Gruta four times in two weeks. The thermal baths are outside, except for the covered area where the water is the hottest. The natural setting is beautiful, and you can order drinks from the waiters that they'll deliver to you in the baths. It's a wonderful place to spend all day or at least several hours. A restaurant is available if you get hungry. You can get a massage or just lay by the pool, if you want to rest.

“Good but Could be Great”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

This is a fun day away to have water fun especially with kids, we went twice. The grounds could be kept up better but the pools are nice, and the hot springs are relaxing. The staff is really nice and the food is okay, watch out for the Bees though they love Margarita's. Go into the cave and experience the water fall it's very strong.

“Relaxing for half or full day”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

This attraction features several pools of different temperatures and a sort of tunnel that leads to the hottest dome covered pool where periodically jets of hot water give the visitor a change to enjoy a stream of hot water as a neck, back massage. The surroundings are very pleasant with lots of plants, birds and butterflies. Be awRe that the jets to not operate continuously but there is always access to the pools. Pool side service for drinks was pleasant and a picnic area with umbrellas was fine for eating your own food or from the restaurant on site. We brought our own towels. These are not the best springs I have ever been in ( that was in Greece) but these are very pleasant and would be nice for a half or full day outing. Not much besides the water for kids. Rough and uneven ground ( I stubbed my toe wickedly ) but that is to be expected in or around San Miguel

“Good local get-away”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Was expecting a bit more ambience from the local hot springs; but this delivered everything I might imagine. Definitely bring your own towels; otherwise they want $7.50 for a cheap stiff towel. Bring change to rent a locker.
