“el corazon”

'the living room of the town' - endless wonderment and entertainment, mariachi, great street food (corn is a must), impressive breakdancing in the gazebo (it's infectious!), happy dogs begging for food and playing, balloons and crafts being sold, of course la parroquia to look at, and best of all - NO TRAFFIC!

“The Garden - El Jardin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

The El Jardin is always buzzing with activity and full of energy. It is a great place to people watch, listen to music and take in the beauty of San Miguel. We were lucky enough to see two wedding parties exit the church on Saturday. One couple walked through the street followed by a Mariachi Band dressed in white, a little donkey with a hat & flowers and tall costumed figures. The Museo de San Miguel de Allende is also near the El Jardin. If you are looking for a Starbucks, there is one on the corner. While we were in town, Starbucks was offering 2 for 1 Frappuccino during an afternoon Happy Hour.

“An extremely interesting place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

Apart from the age of the building, there are so many things going on here. An open market, selling all kinds of arts and crafts, two wonderful restaurants and some incredible views.
A great place worth more than one visit.

“You stop here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2013

You will positively stop here if you are visiting San Miguel.
Everyone does. You never know what you will see. Many Mariachi bands, break dancers, weddings, mimes, you never know. Best Friday and Saturday nights.

What a wonderful experience as everyone, old and young gather all day and night long around this beautiful garden enjoying the many choices of restaurants and the wandering minstrels and mariachi's.
