Great food, poor service. As the restaurant requests, we phoned days before to set up our dinner reservations and to tell them we wanted the special order, salt encrusted baked red snapper. It’s without-a-doubt our absolute most favorite fish dinner on the planet. We just love it and have been to Mivida for it several times.
Despite the terrific red snapper dinner, it was over-shadowed by a litany of broken promises.
We were on time for our reservation, the restaurant was not crowded, but they tried to seat us far from the live music, in another room, despite that they promised us main dining room seating during the phone reservation.
Pre-ordering the baked red snapper when making reservations eliminates the hour long wait but this time they forgot it.
Ordering a bottle of wine tried our patience. After waiting almost thirty minutes for it, I complained. The waiter then made a string of strange excuses.
The dinner was a birthday celebration which they had been advised of by phone but that too fell through the crack.
Seems there isn’t a connection with those that take reservations and the restaurant staff. Our dinner took almost three hours. Although the food was wonderful we were turned off by the bad service.
