We have just returned from a long weekend at Spylaw Farm, with our two teenage daughters. What an absolute gem of a place, beautiful scenery, fantastic accommodation, fantastic food and attention to detail which is second to none. Lorna and Andy were excellent hosts who made us feel very welcome. What can I say about the breakfasts, unbelievable!!! so much choice, such good quality and superbly cooked. I would recomend Spylaw to anybody and we will definitely be going back.

If it is quality and value for money in a beautiful location with every possible comfort and exceptional cuisine then Lorna and Andy's Spylaw is the place to go. Better still dogs are welcome and happy with glorious walks nearby. If anywhere deserves to suceed then go no further.

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in The Hayloft. Lorna & Andy are wonderful hosts and couldn't be more accommodating. In summary, we found every single aspect of Spylaw Farm exemplary and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend it. Weaning ourselves off the particularly superb breakfasts after our stay has been somewhat more difficult though..!
The setting of Spylaw is also beautiful and there is so much to see and do within walking, cycling or driving distance. Already planning our return! Martin & Alison - High Peak.

We just got back from a long weekend in this beautiful farmhouse. We stayed in the b&b side of it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room and bathroom were beautifully decorated, and the guest living room was the cosiest ever! Lorna's breakfasts were amazing and both Andy and Lorna gave us good tips on how to spend our time in this fantastic part of the world! Looking forward to going back! Yannis & Wesal

Lorna and Andy could not have done more to make our stay with them special. The Kyloe suite was very modern and very well equiped with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent with lots of homemade and homegrown produce. Spylaw is very well situated for visiting the wonderful sights of Northumberland and each day we returned 'home' for tea and homemade cake. Being so close to the sheep and hens, ducks etc was really interesting. There are so many 'extra little touches' in this property that made our stay so memorable. We have recommended Spylaw to family and friends and we hope some day to return. Gren and Sue Coy, West Yorkshire,

We spent the first of our two self-catering weeks in the fantastic one bedroom Cuddy's Croft which has recently been modernised to a very high standard. It is very spacious and comfortable and ideal for a couple. The actual location of Spylaw is first class - it could not possibly be more peaceful and the scenery is magnificent. The second week two friends joined us and we then moved into the much larger Homildon House which is next door. This is a spacious 3 bedroomed property and like Cuddy's Croft has everything you could possibly need. Andy and Lorna could not have been more helpful or friendly and the fresh free range eggs, bread and cake were reaaly welcome on our arrival in each property. It was enjoyable seeing their sheep plus the hens, turkeys, ducks and geese. We were also lucky enough to go with Andy to see the seven one week old piglets nearby. The properties are well situated for trips into the heart of The Northumbria National Park with its magnificent scenery. We also visited Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and grounds and Craster which we would strongly recommend.

We had a lovely weekend break with our grandson, and wholeheartedly recommend Spylaw to anyone. The hospitality was amazing, with lovely breakfasts and luxurious accommodation. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we were always warm and comfortable. The icing on the cake was when Andy took us along to see the new born piglets. Two year old Jake has talked of little else since.
We brought home some lovely home grown produce, too.
Thank you, Lorna and Andy!
