“our favourite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

this is our favourite restaurant/ cafe in Pembrokeshire. The food ranges from special fish dishes, to special fish and chips, to fantastic chocolate brownies, coffee, hot toddy in the winter, beutiful wine. All set in a cosy shed complete with wood burning stove, nestled on theedge of Porthgain harbour. A magnificent place in itself. So if you're having a walk to a beach along the coast path you can end it with a meal or a hot drink and something yummy. Oh I forgot, they do the best crab sandwiches, cream teas, they sell locally caught fish, show local artwork on their walls and are super friendly and professional. Even making sure they have lime in stock if you request it in your G&T!

“Fish by the harbour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

Great little bistro with fantastic service. We planned on visiting this place as part of our West Wales trip and we weren't disappointed. All tables were booked and the atmosphere was great. Upon arriving we were seated and although it was a little cold it was still very pleasant. The menu was explained in detail and the waiter recommended several dishes for that days catch. The quality of the food is very good and I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone. The scallops starter was spot on.

“Good fish restaurant,nice location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

A great fish restaurant, maybe a victim of it's popularity. The food is excellent ,suppose the service can be a bit hit or miss, but that's because it's usually very busy.

“Tasty and picturesque”

Wonderful fish and chips in a fabulous location, well worth a detour if you are in the area. The service was so quick and the interior was really homely.

“OK for a cup of tea if there is a seat outside”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

Often stop here for a cup of tea when we've walked over from Abereiddy. Pleasant to sit outside in the sun, but limited seating outside, so don;t bank on getting a seat or table! Service quite friendly and the much-quoted "children" notice is probably quite fair given the inability, indifference or willingness of some parents to control their brood! - but then that says more about the parents than the Shed!! Like most of Pembrokeshire, the Welsh cakes are overpriced. Having said all this, I'll be back.
