Stayed a night here. Amazing hospitality n property.
Great for exploring a part of shekhawati.
Sundowner trip in the evening is a must do.
Requested them to do something similar for birders.
Thank you for being good hosts.

This was a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. The building itself was lovely and rambling with glorious views from the roof. The bedroom was quirky and idiosyncratic with lovely furnishings. The hot water was hit and miss.

There was a very lovely dining room and the food was fresh and tasty with plenty of vegetarian options. Service was immaculate and the staff were very helpful. We only stayed one night but I wished it was more.

This is the sort of hotel that makes India such a challenge and pleasure.
On our last visit to the Shekhawati region 25 years ago we stayed at the Castle Mandawa, which needed its recent restoration.
The Alsisar place was divine, rambling, exciting, exotic, quirky; superb dining room and lovely staff; fine swimming pool; essential to find a way to the roof for its spectacular views. Bedroom unbelievably vast if not the last word in luxury (plumbing interesting)
Hugely recommended but take it for what it is
Just the sort of character place that appeals to us

Travelled into Indian dessert to a quirky hotel in the small village of Alsisar of a few thousand people, coach drop off is about six minutes walk to hotel as roads so narrow and on arrival greeted by drummer and welcome drink as its about 40 degrees. Allocation of large but nosey air conditioning room was quirky but nice.
Lunch in courtyard and tour of rooms and we meet owners son in the small American room followed by a swim.
Guided tour of village was interesting and Entertainment in courtyard with dinner of buffet food on roof was very nice as still very hot.( Pay for drinks on your room as waiters have a little scam going) Long way out but interesting and worth waking early to see locals doing their thing was memorable.

Room tip: Air conditioning nosey

All superlatives; excellent, superb, beautiful, luxurious, relaxing, etc. apply to this architectural gem. How could you not feel like pampered guests in this hotel where each room is a palace. We enjoyed our recent visit to Alsisar Mahal and introduction to Haveli life. Being where it is is a reward since it is not an easy ride but the rewards of relaxation are great.
