“3$ Charge for not returning keys.”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

Overall the Christy Lodge is good value but they now charge you $3 for each key that you do not return. This is the only hotel I have every stayed at where this is true. The Christy Lodge will not refund this amount. I find this very poor customer service after paying $200 a night.

We were in Beaver creek for a skiing vacation in 2012. Christie Lodge was the perfect place to stay with its warm ambiance. The rooms were spacious and cozy. The covered parking space was another great feature of this lodge.

The fireplace near the lobby was a perfect place to gather in the evening for a friendly get together. The lodge has nice shopping areas around and also a ski rental shop near the entrance.

The only con I want to point out was the noisy disturbances from the common area due to position of the bedroom which was adjacent to the room entrance.

This was our first time at the Christie Lodge. We skiied Beaver Creek and Vail. The room was certainly adequate - however the 1 bedrooms do not have ovens or range tops. There are so many great restaurants nearby, we certainly did not care. Since they are a vacation rental they do not have to be ADA certified. The stairs were a bit much depending on the location. They hot tubs but inside and out were great fun. The staff was wonderful, helpful and made our trip perfect. We will definitely stay here again. This is not a high brow place - just a groovy place to stay if you are into location and skiing.

Room Tip: If you have difficulty carrying luggage on stairs - ask for a place near the elevators. We did enjo...

We have stayed at Christie for a number of years. They have over the years really tried hard to keep the facilities in great shape. Once again, great time, staff, and expectations met.
See you next year!

We stayed here whilst skiing in Vail, two adults and a kid. As we were absolutely knackered after boarding/skiing we wanted no more than a room and that's what we got. The communal hot tubs were also just right. The only complaint was the wi-fi which was intermittent at best. Been there twice now and both times it was great. If you want more than we did you may want to look elsewhere but if you ski/board hard then you'll be fine because you'll be too tired to want more!

Good value after we figured out the maze. Very unusual yet charming in an algebraic configuration. Helpful concierge, friendly residents. Hot tubs close too early. Great shuttle takes you to mountain in a few minutes but beware of the crooks that double as waiters in Beaver Creek. Ruthless, rude with no morals. Especially at Toscannini's which is rated behind Subway for a reason. Secret charges, bait & switch. Tourist TRAP!!!

Room Tip: Bed butts up to hallway, fold out couch in family room and fireplace is a better location but not as...

I saw some crappy reviews so i wasn't sure what to expect but our experience was really nice. I mean, the staff were nice, the facilities were well kept, housekeeping was very helpful. The room was an efficiency and it was definitely on the small side, the internet was slow, the water pressure wasn't great and the outside of the building could use a fresh coat of paint. But honestly we had a nice stay and i can't complain about my overall stay. We liked the place!

Room Tip: stay on the 1st floor
