“Great guides, great morning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Our two great guides, Chris and Ben, absolutely made our trip. They were patient, focused on safety, and made my 9 and 12 year old boys really comfortable. All three of us finished the long climb of the day, around 60 feet. If you are looking for rock climbing in the Vail Valley, especially with kids, don't hesitate to book a trip with Apex.

“Great family Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

We spent a morning doing our first "family rock climbing experience" with Sarah as our instructor.
We have three kids (16,14 and 10) and they all had a great time!
It was quite intense, but 100% safe and Sarah did a fantastic job with the kids and make them feel safe and self confident.
We recommend this experience and we are looking forward to try more adventures with Apex in the future.

“Rock Climbing - Great Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Three of us mid 40s women spent the morning rock climbing with our guide Ben. It was the first time for all three of us. It was fun, challenging and a great workout. Ben was very personable and patient, as we all climbed at different speeds and had varying levels of fear. We felt very safe. (We all lost our footings at some point (slipped) and found there was nothing to fear, as Ben had us held in place.) We tried three different routes, which added to the fun and complexity. We loved that there was only the 3 of us and our guide. Not only did he give us all of his attention, he took us to private property (Apex has access to) where there was no one but us. We would highly recommend the experience and Apex. All three of us said we would do it again, and would definitely ask for Ben again. (Make sure you take lots of water. The day started out cool but got warm quickly.)

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

We had two excellent guides (one was training) for our group of four. Both were great with my two kids, ages 6 & 7. By the end of the afternoon, my daughter was able to tie her own knots and had learned so much more about climbing. The guides were so patient and able to adjust our climbing based on our ability. They provided perfect encouragement and were easy to talk with. We really appreciated all the customer service and flexibility. The phone call the night before was nice and the ability to add another person to our group was also appreciated. We will use this company again, but request a more secluded, quiet location-not near a busy road.

“Exhilarating Climbing Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

We were in Breckenridge for a week and wanted to do something a bit different so we decided to try our hand at ice climbing. We met at the Apex office to get our gear and headed off to a frozen waterfall. We were a group of 9, so we had two guides. It was a bit of a drive to get to the location and then about a 15 minute easy walk to get to the climb site. Our guides were just great! Although the experience was a bit scary, I felt completely safe. The guides set-up 3 different routes up the ice and we took turns climbing. Yes, you get to use an ice ax and use that to help pull yourself up. You are also harnessed for the entire climb, so really, it is very safe. The actual height is about 75-100 feet (but it feels much higher when you are up there!). Its a long excursion. Apex provided some hot tea and granola bars. Only con - it is a bit far from Breck to get to the Apex office where you pick up your gear (crampons, helmets, harnesses) and then we actually drove back towards Breck for the climb. It would be great if Apex could somehow meet Breckenridge customers somewhere closer. But otherwise, a terrific experience!
