My husband and I just spent a couple of nights there. We knew it was off season, which is the only reason we could afford to stay there. The property is nice, but I would not pay regular rates. Beaver creek and the hotel were pretty much a ghost town, which made it relaxing but also limited us greatly on shops to browse and places to eat as many were closed. The spa looked very nice, but the prices were very high. The workout facilities were great, and the outdoor hot tub was terrific. The best part of our experience was the staff. Ryan, the front office manager, was super accommodating, the valet guys were quick and offered us suggestions on local eateries, and Andrew, the bartender, was very friendly. It would be nice to have a coffeemaker in the room and access to some snacks 24/7. Overall, it was a nice stay, but maybe more fun in season.

Room Tip: Corner room was nice, we have views of slopes and the village

My family and I booked a vacation in Breckenridge but were very unhappy with the city and the accommodations. Breckenridge is cute in a Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge kind of way. Most of the restaurants look like they are straight out of a Wild West movie with chintz and tulip glass lights. There are very few unique stores - most are your standard tourist t-shirt shops. There was NO way we were going to be able to stay a whole week there so we went on Trip Advisor and shopped around. Based on reviews, we decided that Vail or Beaver Creek were more our cup of tea. Vail was gorgeous - straight out of a postcard with a neat downtown area with great shops and stunning hotels and restaurants but it was pretty crowded. We forged on to Beaver Creek just a few minutes away. It was exactly what we were looking for. All stone and timbers with huge flowers and meticulous landscaping. The Hyatt looks out over a quaint shopping area with top tier shopping and an ice skating rink in the center. The hotel has huge fireplaces and a very friendly staff. They have smores around the fire pit every night and lots of activities planned. Our kids are 13-24 and they all LOVED it. The fitness center was top notch and the pool was fine. It is a family lodge feeling in a 5 star setting. Our highlights for the week were a rafting trip down the Arkansas river and a 4 hour bike trip down Vail pass (the bike rental shop is in the shopping area adjacent to the hotel). According to my kids, it was one of the best vacations we've ever had and it was at a "ski resort" with no snow :)

Park Hyatt Beaver Creek... Just saying those words together brings a smile to my face. I have stayed at this property on several occasions. (Five ski trips and one wonderful fall relaxation escape)

First of all, the location. For my money, you just can't beat the convenience and full package of Beaver Creek Village. Great skiing, food, wine, spa, etc... This is one of those places that you really don't need to have a car, as long as you're content with meandering through the village and paying a premium for that convenience. If looking for a good value and trying to cut corners, don't look to stay in the Village, but if you're intent is to indulge or just not have to worry about parking, driving, weather, etc... that this may be a great option for you!

The rooms here are very nice, but not exceptional. You will feel well tended to and the customer service is exemplary at this property. The food is magnificent, though fairly expensive. The ambience is soothing yet elegant. You would be comfortable dressed up for the night or walking through the lobby in a bathrobe to the spa. Speaking of the spa, what a great, relaxing experience! I do find it a bit of a stretch to advertise complimentary Aqua Sanitas with purchased spa service as part of the resort fee, however. (bad form)

Though I truly do love this property, I will also lay out my criticism. If you are a top-tier Hyatt guest, don't expect much from Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. The standard complimentary Diamond Passport breakfast is substituted with a coffee, juice and donut in the sundries store. (almost offensive for the guest status and rate paid to stay during the winter) Also, this property does not participate in the Diamond Suite upgrades either, even if availability permits. (have never been able to figure that one out) As a top-tier guest, my recommendation is to at least come up with some sort of offering, even if it's complimentary Aqua Sanitas for Diamond members--which would cost the resort nothing.

Anyway... back to the good stuff... Love the ski valet, the mountain, the convenience and ambience of this world class ski village. As long as you're comfortable with the room rates, I would absolutely not hesitate recommending Park Hyatt Beaver Creek!

Room Tip: Slopeside rooms are great, but mountain views are peaceful and a bit less than the slopes.

This beautiful resort hotel works whether you're a skier or like us, just enjoying an amazing Colorado autumn. Restaurants, shopping and entertainment are all just a short walk from the hotel. The Beaver Creek Village is charming and very European in it's appearance.

The Park Hyatt is a first rate hotel with a commanding presence at the base of the mountain. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed, and service was generally excellent...with Maya at the front desk a standout. Valet was the only area where service was a little of a let down. We only had one breakfast there on the patio, which was nice, but other than that can not comment on the restaurant.
