I was originally hesitant to spend a few August days in the ski capital of the US- but we went and LOVED IT.
The hotel was lovley and in an unbeliveable setting. Our room had a balcony overlooking the mountain and pool, very comfortable bed as well. The Spa incredible and although I only induge in about 12 times a year - its where I receved my best. The pre massage water relaxation pools were a nice touch.
I do think that for a 5 star hotel the staff shold have been more attentive - they were all very nice but they shoudlnt ask if I want helo with my luggage from my trunk it should just be done. Some simple questions to staff were answered with "I dont know" rather than "I dont know let me find out"
The concierge was able to get us reservations at the resturant on top of the mountain that we rode horses for about an hour too. We also rented bicycles the next day and peddled the ski slope down. We also rafted down the Colorado and ATV'd through up and down mountain trails for a few hours - so clearly lots to do in CO besides Skiing.More
