Wow, what a wonderful learning experience to all of us. We had a wonderful stay and was spoiled with a lovely breakfast. We enjoyed walking to the neighboring towns. Such an unique building with character and comfort. We appreciated the energy and vibe as portrayed through the photos of the process and experienced by the great service from the hosts. A real break from the business of every day life.

A highly recommended Cape Town stop-over for that added personal touch. The location is safe and tranquil with a view and secure on-site parking. A rare find within walking distance of surrounding attractions.

Room Tip: Great atmosphere and off-traffic tranquility with a view, within easy (and safe) walking distance of...

We spent four nights at the Cob House and it was fantastic.
The green credentials are not only impressive but the organic breakfast is wonderfully tasty and the shower hot and powerful. The views of the mountains are stunning and the location / parking facilities extremely convenient.
The private entrance means you could come and go when you like but whenever requested Sim and his family were also incredibly helpful. They're local knowledge is invaluable and made a big difference to our holiday.
Muizenberg itself is a great base - a short train ride takes you into Cape Town itself but you can also escape the more hectic big city and relax beside the beach / walk on Table Mountain / eat at local restaurants.
We couldn't recommend it more highly and it was a definite highlight of our stay in South Africa.

We chose Samhitakasha as our base to explore Cape Town for three days because we wanted to stay somewhere a little different with a personal touch. And how often does one get the opportunity to see or even stay in such a beautiful cob house these days?! We also liked that our hosts clearly take sustainability serious: they provide biodegradeable soap in the bathroom, have a grey water recycling system, solar water heater, ect. On top of that, they are lovely people! The neighbourhood feels very save, it's close to the beach and easy enough to catch a train into Cape Town. It's also close to cafés and restaurants. We ended up coming back a week later to stay for another couple of nights, that's how much we enjoyed our time there!

We loved every moment of our 10 night stay at Samhitakasha. The feel of the cob built house is like nothing else and we were truly spoiled to wake up in a comfy bed with the mountain view and to an amazing breakfast. We were worried we'd be a bit lonely not knowing anyone in the area but we were welcomed so warmly here and by others in the town that these worries soon melted away. We had plenty of days in Muizenburg - the beach just a minutes walk away and plenty of local markets and walks. It was also easy to travel by train to Cape Town for other days out. One of the many highlights of the trip was exploring the mountains with Simric - another remarkable experience. We hope to visit again in the not too distant future!

Room Tip: Organic and sustainably sourced throughout - the room is beautiful

Welcoming and accommodating family who ALL (adults and children!) took efforts to make us feel at home. Amazing to stay in the cob house during an incessant Capetonian downpour - it's as solid as any modern house, but somehow more 'earthy'. Muizenberg is also a perfect location from which to access Cape Town.
