Stayed here 2 nights on one of the legs of our honeymoon. Had a nice small cabana right above the mangroves that had all your basics, shower, sink, toilet, comfortable bed w/mosquito net, and wifi closer to the entrance if you needed it. It's not your 5 star hotel, (although the service felt like it), but if you are looking for relaxation and serenity, this is it! No TV and no phone and one thing to remember is that there is no electricity until nightfall. The staff, especially the manager Chris, were so helpful and friendly, you truly felt like you were staying with friends. We were greeted with fresh coconut water and provided with breakfasts in the morning. The cenote was amazing and very cool and refreshing. If you're looking for something different, definitely give MangleX a try!

The rooms are flying above mangroves, it's an ecolodge, it has a cenote and it's very laid back. It's not directly ok the beach but you can cross the hotel in front without a problem since they have an agreement. These are upgraded bungalows with bathrooms inside. You can have kayaks, loudspeakers and towels for the beach for free. It's a little bit pricier considering that the water has low pressure, but the place rocks and it's something like I haven't seen before. It's like a grown up bungalow.

Angel the manager is as cool as it gets.

We visited Tulum for our honeymoon and loved experiencing Manglex as our first stop. The cabanas are cozy, but it was awesome to stay right on the cenote and have private access to it. We were able to take the paddle board out and explore it on our own. Even though it's not located right on the beach, you have full access to the beach at the Rosa del Viento right across the street, so we were happy to pay less, but still have the same amenities. It was the low season, so unfortunately the restaurant was closed. However, we were offered coffee every morning with the option of breakfast prepared for us as well. Our flight into Cancun arrived in late, so we didn't arrive in Tulum until about 1am and no one was there to check us in. Make sure to let them know if you are having a late arrival! The staff was very friendly and gave us a lot of recommendations about where to eat along the beach strip. We also didn't know that there was no electricity in the cabin until 7pm. It was definitely worth it for the price, and we would recommend it for a more rustic stay on a cenote!

Everything in tulum its expensive. I mean, not in the down town, but on the coast. So when you are going to select your hotel thing what do you expect from Tulum. We choose MangleX cause its really cool to have a cenote in your backyard, and the most important thing was to avoid the Sargasso on the caribbean sea. The hotel its cool, but the room don't have A/C, and electricity its a problem sometimes. The water to take a bath came from the Mangle so it have a weird taste. Take note about the concept of this hotel, if you are looking for a five star hotel with all the services this is not a good choice. The location was perfect, because we visit Siaan Kan, which is about 100mts from the hotel. I love this hotel under this terms.

Room tip: There only 4 room. So it does not matter your election. And the wi-fi is only available at the reception.

This place is one of the last hotels on the long strip of small and not so small hotels on the way to Punta Allen.
The manager Marcella will make you feel as if you are staying with your sister.
The hotel is situated on the "jungle side" of the strip and because of that it will cost you less than half than staying just across the road on the "beach side".
Officially the hotel on the beach side has a private beach and you not suppose to be there. But on the first night my wife and I went across and asked if we can go to the restaurant. The restaurant by the way is very nice and well worth having dinner there. Next day we rented bikes from them. By the third day security at the gate were just waiving as in with the smile.
The stuff across the way is very friendly and we ended up booking diving and jungle tours through them. So everyone won.
But back to the MangleX. It has private cenote on the back. There is nothing better than getting up in the morning and instead of the shower jumping into cool pool of water.

Room tip: Hotel does have free wifi, but we were using it only at the front yard, so I'm not sure if it works in the room.
