Snorkel gear (mask, sorkel, fins) cost $7 to rent. Bring your own if you have it. Also bring water shoes for climbing in and out of the centote. It cost $10 to get in as well.

Loved Gran Cenote! You absolutely want to bring your snorkel gear! If you don't have any you can rent goggles and a snorkel for $7 per person. If you like to dive they offer for divers to go down into the underwater caves. I don't dive, but we still had plenty to see and had a fun time. (About 1-2 Hours)

I have been to some cenotes but I liked this a lot. It's a big cenote with 3 entries, it's open and closed. You can rent snorkel equipment (I think it was 75 Pesos). It's beautiful, clean, only a few minutes from Tulum City and you can get easily there by cab.

The most impressive area in this cenote is a portion where you swim into a large, cave-like opening. You do not realize how deep this area is until you put on some goggles and look down - spectacular! The remainder of the cenote is not particularly interesting though and we wish it was a bit larger. Visit other cenotes in the area too to get better fix.

Enjoyed visiting one of the only cave-like cenotes in the area. Well-maintained platforms, equipment for rent and pretty grounds to relax or picnic.
