We travelled from Denmark to Mexico in November. We had a three week trip which comprised 10 days in the Yucatan, six days in Mexico City and three days in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast.
We stayed for two nights in Cancun to get over any jetlag and then we headed south by bus to Tulum. Buses are a great way to travel - Air conditioned and cheap (only 82 pesos per person for a journey of over around 130km). We then had some lunch and then afterwards our host arranged for a taxi to take us the 20km to Macario Gomez (150pesos) and of course La Selva Mariposa.
We had seen the reviews on Trip Advisor and because of this we had a good feeling for this place We were NOT let down. Everything we had read was true.
Of course this place is not for the "all inclusive, can't think for yourself crowd" but for the rest of us this is a great place to spend a few days.More
