We visited Hidden Worlds with our 3 children ages 4-9. They could do almost everything. We snorkel but don't SCUBA so I can't add anything in that regard. We thought that if you're looking for something more than just a swimming hole, this was likely the best experience. We don't like touristy attractions, and this place seemed appropriately rustic. The "zip coaster" was really fun, but not for those with a weak back. It will be really cool when it's completed around the end of summer. (It will end by diving into a cenote where the track goes along the ceiling before dropping you off in the water.) Moderately pricey, but considering we spent almost five hours there and a pretty unique experience, we were glad we went.

Sunscreen isn't needed, but bug spray is a must for all of the mosquitos.

A great experience in swimming through an underground river system filled with stalactites. Our guide, Edwin, was great and explained everything to do and what to watch out for with patience. You swim through the caverns with a flashlight tied around your body, so you can see all around you. You'll be able to see some fish and plenty of bats! The rock formations within the cave system are awesome. If you don't have an underwater camera, don't worry. One of the staff members always accompanies every group entering the caves, so they take the pictures of everyone as they swim through the labyrinth. I would recommend this attraction to anyone with a sense of adventure.

We went to Hidden Worlds, as it came highly recommended. Had to climb down a rusty ladder, and then stand in the cave in the dark for 10 minutes until the guide could get the lights going. Cenotes were neat, but the whole thing lasted about 20 minutes. We weren't told until after we had done this trip, that there was another larger cenote on the grounds, and this was the one people flocked from all over to see. Poor customer service, and definitely just trying to get your $!

As a lot of people have said on here, this is a very authentic AND safe experience. The equipment is well cared for, the guides were awesome (special shout out to Julio and Eddie) and the photos which were taken by the provided personal photographer were must have and professional quality. And their asking price for the photos is only $40.

I created a trip advisor account just so I could write a review for this place; it's that good of an experience. There are other more typical theme park like experiences in the area, and those can have their time and place too, but you won't want to miss out on this opportunity.

The location is very convenient to all of the Cancun and Playa Del Carmen areas and it is so worth it. Come see and experience above and inside the caves which are part of the Yucatan Peninsula's labyrinth of underground rivers!

This is not a big themepark, its not a place to go for cenote diving only, but its a great fun half day experience. There are several packages to chose from. We did the one including zip lining and the rollercoaster: lots of fun :-)
I wouldn't leave anything valuable in your car (also recommendated by the receptionist) and indeed bring bug spray. Its a trip into the jungle on an old truck. You will do most activities in or around the cenote. Is a beautiful closed cenote. Guide are very knowledgeable about the area and Maya culture. They were kind to give further tips on (half) open cenotes. Since we were only together, the guide let us do two zip line rides and took their time. Great value and fun experience!
