Description: Beachfront restaurant featuring modern mexican food with an emphasis on local seafood. Hip cocktail bar and beautiful location makes El Pez a place to spoil yourself while on holiday in Tulum. Amazing sunsets, watching the pelicans soar and the Mayan fishermen casting their nets... Divine. And so Tulum.

We stopped in for the Sunday Beach Picnic and were extremely impressed with the service and food. The manager, Jose, was incredibly accommodating, the staff all very attentive, and we were even able to order items not on the set brunch menu.

The oysters were probably the best I've ever had, and everything was very reasonably priced. We were also allowed access to the private beach after lunch.

It's a bit far from the main Tulum attractions but easily accessible via bike. Would definitely recommend stopping in for lunch and will certainly go again the next time I visit Tulum.

and even better cocktails. I would come back again just for the cocktails and you can't beat the view!

Everyone in our group of 11 was extremely pleased with the food. The view was fantastic. The breezes made us forget it was July.
The staff was extremely attentive. I would suggest you get the hamburger with the mancheso cheese instead of blue cheese. The blue cheese was rather overwhelming. If your in Tulum make sure to at least have a drink at this place!

El Pez easily ranks as the best meal we've had in Tulum. Excellent location, beautiful atmosphere, and your dining conversation is matched by the sound of gentle waves crashing on the beach. The cocktail menu is first-class, and the food itself well-prepared and not over-spiced. (If they have suckling pig when you're there, it's well worth a try.)

The only negative reaction that we had involved the portions, which are quite small, more like what you would see in New York City or San Francisco. That said, while you may leave a little hungry, your taste buds will thank you.

We just got back from a four day trip to Tulum. We went to several of the highest rated restaurants on Tripadvisor, but this one was by far the best. It's set on a beautiful stretch of beach, and the food and service are excellent. We went on a Saturday night, when they had a Flamenco night, which was extremely enjoyable. Highly recommended.
