We decided to visit La Coqueta after reading the amazing reviews and it exceeded our expectations. It was a truly wonderful experience and easily one of our favorite restaurants in Tulum. Margaritas were the best we have had - only $60 pesos for a HUGE frozen, delicious drink (we had several and the glasses they are served in are super cool as well). Guacamole was phenomenal. I had the fajitas con pollo - WOW - delicious and way more than I could eat. My fiancé had the octopus special (ask Erica, it was her favorite) - he LOVED it....very unique and certainly worth going off the beaten path. Finally, the dessert. We were stuffed but Erica offered us some traditional Mexican postres on the house - pie de limon - oh my goodness were we ever glad we agreed to try it. One of the best desserts we have had. EVER. All this at beyond reasonable prices. Not only was the food amazing but Erica was one of the friendliest and most attentive servers/owners we have met ANYWHERE. She was truly wonderful and we hope that everyone who visits Tulum also decides to visit this gem of a restaurant. While slightly out of the way, it is more than worth the effort. (Also - I have never written a review before writing this one. That is how much we truly loved this place and Erica).
