Everyone at this hotel are very welcoming. Our room were clean and spacious with a DVD player with a garden view. Both pools were clean. The quality of the hotel was top class. The italian and French restaurant was superb. They had 24 hour food service. 100% recommend this hotel in Tulum.

We needed a room for only 1 night before meeting up with other friends. Our AX advisor recommended Dreams and she was right on! Was a lovely room, the grounds and restaurants
were well done, even though we did not get to experience all this property had to offer. We
would definitely return. Was a nice experience from the moment we pulled up to the gate, to
check in and out! The pool area and beach were beautiful and would have loved to spend some
time there. All the employees we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. We had a lovely
light Mexican style dinner when we arrived and then the breakfast buffet in the morning before we
left. Food was excellent!

Room Tip: Stay more than one day to really enjoy the resort!

Before I review the resort I feel like I should just review "all inclusive" first as it seems a lot of people don't really understand this. For the most party all of your food and drink is already paid when you buy this trip. That being said each resort offers different alcohol and food options. One resort might offer Bud products along with local beers while another might just offer local. Alcohol also varies and most of the time if you don't ask for the best option they will give you rail, and rightfully so as they are running a business. As for food also each resort varies. Most resorts off 2-3 breakfast options, 2-3 lunch options and 4-6 dinner options for places to eat. Room services along with waiter service at the pool/beaches are often provided but at limited menus. If you come to a all-inclusive resort and expect the best meals you've ever had you will be disappointed, BUT if you come looking for good meals you will be very happy. It is not "hit or miss" but just think with common sense. Is the Asian restaurant on the resort going to be as good as the Mexican one??? Probably not :)

This resort was perfect as stated for what I was expecting. My TOP food selections - Skirt Steak and Green Chili soup from the Mexican (el patio) - Caesar Salad and Tortilla Soup from room service - Shrimp dish at the french - Omelets at the breakfast buffet.

The water like most resorts is nice but rocky in some spots so make sure you find out where to go. The pool areas were nice especially the non activity pool, very relaxing.

This is a family resort but they do a great job at keeping kids hidden in the kid friendly areas.

The 'entertainment' team is really top notch. They all go out of there way to get people involved and they work hard. The entire resort works hard and who knows maybe when my back is turned they flip me off but when in conversation they all seem happy to be alive and working on the resort!

The rooms seemed very new and were very relaxing. The gym is pretty big for what I'd expect from a resort/hotel.

The town of Tulum as well are the ruins are nice to visit and seem to be very safe.

We stayed at Dreams Tulum and our friends also had their wedding there. As we flew with Sunwing, we were promised a direct private shuttle to the resort, this did not happen and we had 3 stops along the way. Check-in was efficient and I was happy to get the margarita in the lobby after the longer than expected journey to the resort. Our room was cleaned before noon and we really enjoyed the swim out lazy river type pool directly out of our recently renovated room. The World buffet had a decent selection of food but whenever they had a beach bbq, the buffet was always closed. The Mexican restaurant was rarely opened during the evenings. The Asian and Italian restaurant were really good. The French and Seaside Grill were okay. We had some dietary needs that were always accommodated. The staff were very good that way. Very friendly entertainment crew -- Fernanda, Penelope, Sebastian and Carlos were fantastic! They truly made an effort to learn our names and took the time to visit and chat with us. Ronaldo at the Smoothie bar was a gem! It was a nice treat to have some boardgames available to play when it got a little rainy at night. The resort had a few shopping nights where some local vendors were selling various souvenirs. As we've been to the Mayan Riviera a few times, the Lapis jewellery overly aggressive sales tactics were getting old. They need to stop telling you that you need to come spend your money in the store. "Almost free" and "Cheaper than Kmart" get old very quickly. No matter where you go, the vendors are always overly aggressive and follow you and try and get you into their shops (which by the way, all sell the exact same things)! Enjoyed the escorted taxi trip into Tulum for a little market shopping and to visit the ruins. Approx $590 pesos pp (about $5.90 US) to visit Tulum and about $8 US pp return trip for the taxi taken as a group. The resort also offered an escorted cenote tour about 20 minutes walk from the resort. Again reasonable prices $250 pesos pp, $200 pesos for finns and snorkel gear for each item. We walked back to the restaurant near the cenote for lunch too -- just fantastic!

It's a small resort over all. The beach was decent, an abundance of lounge chairs and towels always available. Great beach walking and really enjoyed the swim out pool from our room. Probably used that the most over the other pools. It was quiet and the water was warm because the wind got blocked out and the sun was over head. There was hardly anyone in it and it was nice to enjoy the quiet and solitude from the noise at the pools. Also, no kids were ever around! The mini bar was re-stocked promptly so if you didn't want to, you didn't have to go far for drinks!

On the way back to the airport we had at least 5 pickups along the way. 3 stops in one resort alone. Our pickup was 12:30pm and we didn't get to the airport until 3pm. Then we lost a camera on the bus. The CNT rep attempted to contact the bus and did but was told they didn't find anything. This is disappointing as we know for a fact we lost the camera on the bus but they are claiming they don't have it. We don't even want the camera back, just the pictures. I'd even mail whoever has it the charger, if we can get the pictures sent to us.

Aside from a lost camera, it was a good vacation. Dreams Tulum is a little too small of a resort but with friendly staff, decent food, and great views of the ocean you can't go wrong. If they could have a direct shuttle to/from that would be an improvement too!

Room Tip: See if you can get a room with the swim out option. Apparently it's a $30 per night upgrade but was included in our price. Friends who got the upgraded ocean view were really disappointed and wished they had our room instead. Plus with the upgraded ocean view rooms, there's the evening noise factor you have to contend with (loud music and parties).

Fantastic resort, all amenties you could wish for. Superb selection of eateries. Hotel room very good standard. Gym was very good and the Spa was to die for. Deep tissue massage very good. Good activity programme. A big hello to Jamie and Will at the Diving shop who i never had time to say Bye too. You both were fantastic, and thankyou jamie for a brilliant Dive, really enjoyed it. Sylvia the beach waitress was fantastic also. All in all good resort and will be back for Sailfish season for some fishing.
