My Boyfriend and I are thrilled to be going back to our Magical vacation spot.
This will be our 4th visit and we are anticipating another beautiful experience.
The Staff have become our friends and we are soooo looking forward to sharing more memories and laughs and Margaritas of course : )
We love staying at the Mezzanine for it's exceptional pristine & quiet beach it is so peaceful.
The Thai Cuisine is exceptional and the dishes were prepared by a special lady named Chef Dim and her friendly helpers.
Your Friends, Grace & Lefty.

We booked a week at Mezzanine after reading some positive reviews and the hotel's own website, which advertises it as a chic boutique hotel with a hip vibe. We were very disappointed. The website is seriously misleading. Mezzanine is miles away from the buzzy hub of Tulum beach, and is possibly the only place in Tulum that is neither chic nor hip. Our rooms were dank and smelly and opened onto the road not the beach - in fact no rooms at Mezzanine open onto the beach. The Rooms were depressing and smelled like sewerage. Further, the hotel generally was very basic, but not in a good way. The pool is tiny and horrible - and lit up at night with tacky flashing disco lights. The bar was just a simple wooden construct with a bunch of plastic chairs and the restaurant smelled like old fish. We were so disappointed that we packed up and left the following day. If you are coming to Tulum, even if you're after basic accommodation, please look at options further down the beach. There is no need to be stranded in the 80s and miles from the real Tulum. We loved our second choice - The Beach. But I've also stayed at the more affordable Zebra, which is fab.

The hotel is nice. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms which meant we had no view to the ocean but we could hear it all night (which is GREAT). The beds are great and the showers are not bad. There is no separation between the sleeping area and the toilet which is something I don't like personally.

We spent one week at Mezzanine at the end of September through October. The hotel is located at the end of the stretch of beach that connects to Paradise Beach. It is in a perfect location, not too far away from downtown for food (80 peso cab ride) and only steps away from a semi-private beach. We were able to walk to to the Tulum Ruins, 25 min slow walk.

Mezzanine itself is pretty small, only 8 rooms total, but it is perfect and intimate. The staff, Jonathan and Maggie, were extremely helpful and friendly. They were amazing in helping plan our days and offering recommendations. The Thai Restaurant at the hotel also has some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Again restaurant staff was extremely nice and friendly as well.

Highly recommended and will definitely stay again. Thanks to everyone there for making an awesome trip!

Room Tip: Thai restaurant on location highly recommended!

Stunning part of Mexico, and Mezzanine is just fantastic. The staff are super friendly. Fresh coffee delivered to the room at 7am every morning :) Cocktails fantastic, beach beautifully kept. Only criticism is that the menu (albeit great food) is a little restricted - you can get a littel fed up of Thai food after 8 days. That said the breakfast were lovely!

Room Tip: stayed in the Master Suite - it was lovely!

we stayed here for our honeymoon and things couldn't have been better. we chose to avoid the all-accommodation places and opt for this boutique instead. and what a wise choice it was. our master suite overlooked the ocean - we could literally lay in bed and watch the sunrise. the staff was friendly - we felt like family after a few days. the restaurant was delicious - as were the cocktails. we were steps away from the best beachfront in Tulum - we tried many others and they were too rocky or the waves were too harsh. the sun would set over the jungle - an amazing view every night. TIPS: ask for Maguie at the front desk - she's a fountain of information.

Room Tip: Room #10 is the biggest and best.
