Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very clean rooms. The setting is perfect and the restaurant is very good (recommend the Thai dinner and lunch menu items, skip the breakfast. They do have a couple of kayaks if you ask and it's a great beach for that.

We stayed at Mezzanine in Tulum for half of our honeymoon, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mezzanine. When we arrived, the staff made us some complementary Margaritas and gave us the corner oceanfront room on the ground floor, which we enjoyed immensely. The drinks are fantastic, the food is gourmet, and the beach is impeccable. We stayed five days and didn't want to leave. For couples on a honeymoon looking for a quiet and beautiful place to stay with the best eats in Mexico, this is your place.

I spent two nights at the Mezzanine hotel, in their corner King Room. It was perfect! Right next to the waves and yet the comfort of a plush bed and lovely bathroom. The hotel is a nice mix for the traveler who wishes to indulge and yet not be cut off from the elements of nature. Hearing the waves at night, seeing the stars as you sip a cocktail on their deck, or perhaps watching the moon rise over the sea! Its really magical. The staff were super attentive, great food. Complete breakfast including fresh juices, smoothies, eggs and even awesome banana pancakes (which is my favorite, didn't expect to eat banana pancakes while looking onto the turquoise sea!). For dinner we hadThai food, which goes well with the theme of the hotel and the flavors of the sea. I would love to be back there now :( So definitely if you are looking to spend some time in Tulum, be near the Ruins, swim, walk on the beach and have a nice haven to go back to and relax and indulge a bit. This is a great place to do it at!!!

We were married at this lovely little gem of a hotel and we enjoyed every moment!
It is very intimate and quaint, yet the attention to detail makes you feel so cared for. We stayed in one of the suites and they are gorgeous rooms. A private terrace, a mini bar, in-room safe, DVD player, ipod dock, and coffee brought to your door in a cute little basket every morning are just some of the amenities that make the Mezzanine stand out.
Our family stayed in the hotel as well over a long weekend and the staff made everyone feel at home.
The manager, Roxana, was also our wedding planner and did an amazing job!
She made the experience of planning a destination wedding stress free. She took care of arranging everything and we only had to deal with her. She always responded promptly and got answers to all of our questions. All of our costs were broken down in spreadsheets and there were no surprises!
This boutique hotel is exquisite.

Room Tip: The suites have the most privacy.

I recently stayed there for a wedding in one of the two amazing master suites with an ocean view and had a fantastic experience!! The room was lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff is amazing. They were very accommodating and the wedding went so very well especially considering we had inclement weather. I would love to make a return visit!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Mezzanine after my friend recommended it. Because we were traveling to Tulum in June, we opted for an ocean front room for fear we'd sweat in a ground floor room with no AC. It was heavenly! We didn't feel the need for AC at all- the breeze kept things cool and the mosquitoes at bay. And it helped that their off season room discount made the ocean front the same price as the ground level.

The area around Mezzanine is gorgeous and quiet- one of the best beaches I've ever seen. The restaurant is delicious for breakfast and their 2x1 afternoon margaritas are the perfect break between beaching it and dinner. The restaurant's Thai menu is delicious, but when I travel to Mexico, I want Mexican food. We did eat there our first night because of late arrival. Be careful- charging food and drink to the room can get very pricey and there are no refrigerators in the rooms to keep your own beverages.

The staff was so friendly and helpful, they all went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Also- check out their sister properties El Pez and La Zebra. We also stayed at El Pez and it too was absolutely amazing (and also quite different!)

After touring numerous hotels in Tulum we decided on Mezzanine. We arrived with no reservations, in the off season mind you, and were lucky enough to get an ocean front room. Our room (#3) was extremely clean and the bed was soooo comfortable. The food was good but overpriced so we ate most meals elsewhere. We had mixed experiences with the waiters...one was good, the other was terrible. There isn't air conditioning so it's a little warm but the ocean breeze kept it tolerable. The lounge chairs overlooking the rocky beach below (there's a sandy beach right next door) were a real treat and we enjoyed numerous hours sitting and drinking really good margaritas. We would definitely stay here again!
