This place is great. We stayed for five nights and forget the rest of the world. This place is a delight. We stayed in a junior suite and felt like we had the beach on our doorstep. And what a beach! Rooms were rustic chic but well appointed with low level lighting available 24 hours and a fan. We didn't need airconditioning. Like many of the rooms in this area there are no power points in the rooms which made me wonder how i would survive without hair dryer/hair straighteners etc, but just go with it, forget your mobile phone and switch off from the world. Suenos is a long way down the long road from Tulum town - and I think this was a good thing as the beach is uncrowded down here and we felt a bit like we were on our own deserted island. A taxi into the town is about 100 pesos (£10USD, £5) which is good value, and as long as you have a torch you can easily make use of the many bars/restuarants along the beach so you really don't need to worry about heading into town unless you really want to. The bathroom is colourful and has a good supply of hot water. We had a hammock and chairs on our little balcony overlooking the ocean. A continental breakfast is provided, and the staff are all very lovely. This place looks charming on their website and is probably more lovely in reality. If staying in Tulum again I would definately stay at Suenos again. Just don't forget to take a torch!

What good things to say about Suenos that haven't already been said? Believe the good things you have read, they are true. Whether as an escape to solitude, a romantic retreat, a place to reflect and repair body and soul -- it is perfection. We two old friends escaped there for a few tranquil days near the end of the hurricane season for just such reasons.

With the comfortable, charming rooms channeling rhythmic seas and flowing breezes, the warmth, the salt air, the sheer brilliant beauty of the place, senses overflowed; pretense was stripped away, nature's energy imposed. No phone, no watch, time unmoored -- five days seemed two in the Suenos state-of-mind. Yet, though time fled, sweet memories of those hours now tickle every idle moment.

The food was elegantly simple and tasteful, a perfect match to mood and setting; the margaritas outstanding. Staff were always accomodating but unobtrusive. The proprietors, our gracious hosts, were so thoughtful and attentive we felt like personal guests. Jorge and Elizabeth and their lovely family have invested of their life in this place, and it can be felt in everything. We partook somewhat of the neighborhood charms, too, but always found that our hospitable home away was the preferred place to be.

Who would not enjoy such a place? Well...the sand is everywhere, and energetic nature will find its way into the room, so maybe not the perfect place for the very fastidious. There are no electrical outlets in the rooms and so no blow dryers, no recharging of devices (though our hosts helped with that), limited light for primping at night; and true it is not the most luxurious of places, so if that is what you seek, look elsewhere. Perhaps gregarious teenagers would be bored without companions. But anyone who will open their heart to beauty will find their fill, and suffer the joy of it.

This is a great place right on Tulum Beach - which is the best beach in the world in my opinion.
The rooms were very nice with interesting Mayan art and a very tropical feel. Not having electricity at times was a little bit of an inconvience. The first couple of days was no problem, but after a while we did miss some of the creature comforts we are used to.
The location was so peaceful with hardly any one around. We loved our privacy at the beach.
We will return, but most likely will stay fewer days. The area is great for exploring ruins and cenotes, but we loved the beach so much we never left.

Suenos Tulum ... beautiful. Great place to stay - so much better than other places nearby. Lovely staff, great food and a stunning part of the beach - you won't regret it! It's worth mentioning you need to take a taxi to get into town, like most of the nicer cabanas along the beach. There are plenty of restaurants to walk to but if you want a later night in town, its best to go before dinner - not many taxis along the road after 10.30pm. Did feel a little pricey, but it was such an incredible experience to stay there that we left 100% satisfied. I would love to go back some day....

My husband and I and our two young children (5 and 6) stayed here a couple of weeks ago. It is so incredibly beautiful--Elizabeth and Jorge spared no detail in making this, in my opinion, the classiest place in Tulum. The view is just amazing and all the small details really show their love of creating this serene and intimate setting. If you are traveling with kids, the pool is a real plus--not many other places on the beach in Tulum have that. It is very private so my kids could wander the compound without any worries. The dogs were a fun addition for the kids as well. And, the chef made excellent dinners for us and the breakfasts were great as well. I will say that it was very hot during our stay (as July and August are in Mexico) and the lack of a/c is something to consider--it was uncomfortably warm a few nights. However, I couldn't possibly imagine this gorgeous place having the same ambiance with a/c units whirring drowning out the sound of the ocean.

Great place, Very cool management, nice rooms. Tulum has become, in general, way overpriced, but Suenos has a really nice site and nice rooms. No AC, and a bit overpriced, but overall a really relaxing, accommodating place.

My husband and I celebrated the second part of our stay in Tulum at Suenos, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away! We were escorted to our room and delicious drinks were immediately brought to us. I literally squealed with delight at our surroundings!! From the beauty of the room to the ocean view,I can't say enough how simply gorgeous this place is. We totally based our choice on Trip Advisor reviews, and were more than happy with what we found. Believe me, the pictures that are posted are beautiful, but once you are there it is even more breathtaking that you could ever imagine. The breakfast was fabulous and we chose to eat most of our meals there. They have a wonderful friendly staff and a chef that I would have liked to pack in my suitcase! The food was spectacular!! It was a perfect stay and we would do it all over again! You simply must stay here!!!
