“Excellent tour guide - far better experience and value than the large tour groups”

We met Nick at one of the Cenotes when in an excursion from our hotel. We were very glad we did as we followed up with him to arrange a private tour that was brilliant! Nick picked us up in the morning and took us to swim with turtles. As well as providing any equipment we needed Nick has great knowledge of these creatures which he shares with you. After the turtles we picked up some local specialities which would be for lunch later. For our final part of the tour we chose snorkelling in a Cenote cave. Nick knew the best places to go which larger tours would miss. In addition by going in a small private group you got a better experience without the hordes of tourist kicking up the sediment in the crystal clear waters. We finished with lunch and Nick took us back hotel hotel. We highly recommend Nick's tour and it was the highlight of our trip to Tulum. John & Megan

“Nick was the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013

Nick should really have his own show on the Discovery Channel called "The Cenote Hunter" -- he really knows his stuff! I spent a morning with Nick and another couple snorkeling with sea turtles in Akumal and swimming in the Pet Cemetery cenote, and I'll never forget either experience.

At Akumal, we were just a meter or two away from a bale of turtles, floating and staring at them while they feasted on sea grass (which was adorable). At the Pet Cemetery cenote, we were the only snorkelers at this otherworldly underground pit like something out of "The Abyss." Having this beautiful, unspoiled environment to ourselves was a real treat.

Throughout the morning Nick was a total Zen master. He filled us in on the local history and ecosystems, showed us how to snorkel without kicking a turtle in the shell or whacking our heads off a stalactite, and was just generally a fun and easy-going guy, all while nursing a recent injury that would have sidelined lesser guides. If you're in search of a unbeatable visit to Tulum, you should enlist Nick's services.

“Unbelievable way to spend a free day in Tulum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2013

We had the good fortune of spending the afternoon with tour guide Nick. My husband, a good friend of ours and myself were in Tulum for a friend's wedding. We were only in town Thursday evening through Sunday morning and were tempted to spend all of our time on the beach. However, we heard that the caves (cenotes) were beautiful and not to be missed. We had the concierge of our hotel call around for last minute tour availabilities and Nick came to the rescue! Although Nick had already given a tour that morning and was scheduled for an afternoon off, he agreed to take us around to two locations - Casa Cenote and Pet Cemetery (Cenote Sac Actun). He steered us away from visiting the ruins in the heat and crowds of the afternoon and suggested we do this on our own the following morning (which was a great call!).

The first cenote was in a mangrove and was absolutely beautiful. The second cenote was one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced. I would highly recommend both. Nick was very informative without being over the top and I was happy we were with him as it would have been difficult to navigate on our own. Nick had great gear for us. He also led us to a deep cenote which we could jump into from about 25-30 feet up.

Overall, I would highly recommend this tour and absolutely recommend requesting Nick as your guide. Nick is an ex pat from California, but has made Tulum his home and clearly knows Tulum like the back of his hand. 5 stars!

“Our Best Time of Our vacation!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2013

My husband, 7yr old daughter and myself decided to check out some cenotes with Nick..he was AMAZING!! He does private intimate type tours. So it was just us and Nick. None of that being with a load of other people you wouldnt even want to hang out with back home. We went to Casa Cenote and Pet cemetery and it was just amazing! We not only had Nick leading the way, but our daughter was cold and Nick even had kid sized wet suits available for her!! It was a great day, and we enjoyed it so much we booked another day with him to go and check out Akumal to see the sea turtles in their natural environment. Our daughter was at first scared and Nick was great at explaining how to use the snorkel gear and flippers. We were lucky and got to see some big turtles like from "Nemo" as our daughter described them.
I would highly recommend going out to see the sights with Nick!
We will see you again next year Nick :)
