Intima is definitely a hidden gem, tucked away just a few blocks from 307. In fact, like other guests have previously stated, there are no signs indicating Intima is even there, just turn at the orange rocks! Our Happy Shuttle Cancun driver (Henrry is the absolute best, you need to request him for your transfer) knew the place well so there was no issue finding it. The property is very lush, tropical, and an extremely intimate environment. We were not disappointed in any way. We spent 9 days/8 nights there, and chose the optional all-inclusive package, which was worth every penny. The food, even though the menu isn't very extensive, was phenomenal. Passions is the name of the bar/restaurant, and had no drawbacks at all. The cooks, Max & "Senor Leche" were outstanding. Every meal was prepared exactly as requested with no issues regarding a few small food allergies. We especially loved the bacon wrapped shrimp and the cheese stuffed bacon wrapped jalapenos (unreal how amazing these peppers were) with every dinner. The bar staff was extremely great also (Willie & Nestor), we had a lot of fun with certain drinks, and even helped add a few to their repertoire, namely the "liquid 420" & the "S & M Mai Tai" (Nestor became a pro at these). A special shout-out to Nestor for all his local info, help & advice on things to do and places to go in and around Tulum. He really helped to make our vacation that much better! The resort atmosphere was great, whether you were a seasoned nudist/naturist or trying C/O for the 1st time. No pressure, no worries, no creepers/gawkers/voyeurs. Met some great other couples there and had a blast "hanging out" together, both on & off the resort. The pool is a cool concept with swim-up suites on the ground level, with 8 seats in the water at the bar and a communal hot tub adjacent to the bar/pool. We had a 3rd floor penthouse junior suite with a balcony hot tub and the private rooftop pool, which we totally loved for early morning & late night swims. Units were extremely well-equipped with fresh water & linens every day. Eloina took care of our room everyday and did an amazing job, and her towel animals & scenes got better every day. Overall, we were extremely impressed with our 1st trip to Intima, and this certainly will not be our last. Every aspect was wonderful which made it that much harder to leave. Happiness is no tan lines. Happiness is Intima.

We paid our second visit to Intima Resort earlier this month and before we left home, we were concerned we may not enjoy it as much as the first time. How wrong could we be!
Met at the airport by the driver arranged by the resort to transfer us to and from Tulum, he offered us cool damp towels, a welcome relief after walking out of the air-conditioned airport into 32oC heat. The drive takes about an hour and a half but passed relatively quickly as we took in the sights on the way. Once at the resort, we were greeted like old friends, even though the reception staff were all new and had never met us before. We paid the balance of the money due and were shown to our room, the same one we occupied last year. I shan’t go into details about the room as you can read my thoughts on this in my previous posting. One thing I was pleased about though was the staff had resolved the water issue in the shower and we had no problems with it running hot or cold this time.
Showered and undressed, we made our way via the swim up pool, along the lazy river and across the pool to the swim up bar for a well deserved drink. Here we were greeted by Nester, the barman from the previous visit who remembered us and welcomed us with one of his special cocktails and a snack. He asked if we had been well treated as returning guests, then disappeared to return a few minutes later to inform us that he had arranged for the cost of breakfast to be included in the price we had paid for the room. A saving of about $20+ each day.
Like last year, most of the time we were there, the resort was quiet, which suited us down to the ground, although I realise some people might like more people there to talk to and mix with. Some days, we were the only guests in the resort during the day and joked that we had a private pool, our own personal barman, chef, and staff to look after us. As our previous visit, nothing was too much for the staff who went out of their way to care for our every need. Nester and Miguel behind the bar, Antonio and his staff in the kitchen and restaurant, the men and women working reception, the pool guy, the groundsman and of course a special mention has to be made for Alfonso our chamberman who cleaned the room daily treating us to fresh folded towels, designed into different animals each day. It became quite a joke trying to guess what towel animals would be waiting for us on our return to the room each afternoon, swans and monkeys, elephants and dogs, bears and scorpions and one day, two mermaids sprawled on the bed to greet us. It was worth the ten hour each way flight just to view the towels!
Having visited twice, it is now on our list of favourite holiday destinations and were it not for the lengthy flight, would be somewhere we would think nothing of visiting twice a year. We will definitely return in the future, perhaps not next year as there are other places in the world we would love to visit, but come 2019 and I foresee myself sending an e-mail to Intima Resort to book again for that year.
My rating out of 10? A definite 12.

Let me start out by saying the cons only because I feel that the last words that are read are usually what sticks out in the mind. With this being said there is a reason I give this place five stars despite the few cons. Intima Resort is very hard to find, and google maps doesn't get you here. Directions to the place could be better. There is no sign to date. Land marks are really the only way you know you have arrived at the right place ,that and just walking into front reception area which is very small. This is my ONLY cons, because once you get through the reception the place is like the garden of Eden. A oasis of lush greenery with pool in the middle. Surrounded by beautiful condominium type building. There is one restaurant and one bar. Both are well designed and very clean. The food is exceptional, and the chef will make you anything you ask for. Antonio was our chef for most of our stay. The bar tender Miguel makes the best drinks!!! With plenty of alcohol, not watered down like most pool bars. Service gets top Notch ratings. As for the rooms ; there are swim up rooms as well as higher level suites with full kitchens and jacuzzis on balconies. Rooms are modern design and very comfortable beds and furniture. One of the best rooms I've stayed in for a clothing optional resort. The resort is small so if you are a first timer to taking your clothes off Intima makes a perfect start to your adventure of being free from the binding restrictions of clothes. Being a small resort the guest are friendly not pushy and can become like one big happy family with young and old alike. This is why in my opinion Intima gets a five start rating.
