This turned into a spur-of-the moment idea that my husband and I did while on our honeymoon in Tulum. It was fun for an afternoon. It was a little expensive ($50 per person), but it was fun to see the monkeys. Richard, the owner, is a very interesting guy with a great life story. His assistant, Johnathan, was the one who led the tour. Johnathan was knowledgeable about the monkeys and clearly cares for them. My favorite part was hiking through the jungle and then jumping through a literal whole in the ground to land in a cenote. It's worth doing, but if you are pinching pennies, I would recommend doing something else. But, if you have the time and money, it is kind of fun!
