We stay in tulum in November . Rosa del viento has allowed us to live it as it deserves.
Room , bar and restourant are so good . The sea , i don't talk about , you must go and see yourself . They offer a wonderfull situation on the beach . Special thanks to the guest and Miguel a bartender . All staff is always avaiable for you .

We've been coming to Tulum for the last 5 years and have stayed in a variety of hotels, including pricier ones, along the beach zone. This was our favorite.

ROOMS. It is absolutely worth "splurging" on an oceanfront room, preferably on the top floor, especially given that the price is eminently reasonable compared to similarly situated rooms at other properties along the beach zone. The rooms themselves are clean, comfortable, and minimalist, but well-appointed. We never had a problem with getting hot water, and the electricity only went out once for a short period during our 5-day stay. The rooms also have AC, which is a huge bonus as most hotels along the beach zone do not.

BEACH. The hotel is pretty far south along the strip, almost towards the end, making it more quiet, peaceful, and unspoiled. The beachfront area has the perfect setup: plenty of loungers alongside built-in tables, so you don't have to place your drink and belongings in the sand, plus thatched umbrellas for shade and beach mattresses for naps in the sun. We never had a problem getting a lounger even though the hotel was at capacity during our stay. The staff also frequently make the rounds there so you can order drinks and food, and service is extremely quick and efficient.

RESTAURANT. Located beachfront, making it perfect for daily breakfast, which was pretty tasty, and to retreat to for snacks, drinks, and shade. The staff is super friendly and efficient! This is saying a lot.

We spent few days last July for our honeymoon. This hotel is amazing: the rooms are really clean and the view on the sea was magical. The team of the hotel is really kind and helpful and the restaurant is good.
I think the beach is the beautiful one, you are alone with big couchs you can sit and lie on.
You have to know that the location of the hotel is a little far from the city (like all the hotels near the beach) so it's better to have a car to move easily.
It was the perfect place for a great honeymoon.
Thanks a lot
Emmanuel & Nathalie

We spent 4 nights at Rosa del Viento and I can say it was amazing ! A true tulum experience- the rooms were clean with AC ! Plenty of seating arrangement by the sea and beach area was clean and just natural ! Nothing tooo modern or extravagant but brilliant !! I have to admire the kitchen staff- everything they cooked was delicious even pizza was as good as Italy!!!

It was like stepping back in time - i would definitely go back again ! Although must say meal/drink price were equivalent to an american stay Inn.

Room Tip: We had garden view room which was not bad at all ! When I go back I still wouldn't pay for Ocean...

This place is fantastic if you want to get away from all the noise and day to day hustle of Tulum and regular life.

We stayed here for 7 nights and the place was great, the rooms are basic e.g. no TV and there is no wifi apart from in the restaurant. But guess what? Me and my girlfriend couldn't care less as the beach that is less than 100 meters away from most of the rooms is fantastic and beautiful.
It's very much a place where you can switch off from your work life and just have dip in the super clear and refreshing ocean and read that book you just never got around to in one of the many hammocks around the place.

The food and the service is great as well, breakfast as discussed in some of these reviews is really good in fact and the coffee is sourced locally and delicious. It's not just catered for fat americans, in more the fact it's healthy and it's a normal sized person portion.

The only cons about the place are, it's quiet far down (10km) the road and is pretty much the last hotel before you reach the reserve, which is some cases is great as it's secluded and quiet but pain when it comes to wanting to dine out or have drinks elsewhere. You pretty much need a cab to get to the busier parts up the road (shouldn't cost anymore than 70 pesos so make sure you haggle!)
The rooms showers are salt water'esque in that it's definitely not 100% fresh water. So after a day on the beach and wanting to get rid of the salty/sandy water from your body you still feel a little seasoned after having a shower.

Started partying in Playa del Carmen for a couple of days and came to Tulum to unwind and chill. Enjoyed every moment! Clean, comfy, good breakfast, right in front of the beach (recommend getting the cabins facing the beach and 2nd floor). No complaints.

I think that this is the greatest peace of beach on earth. I was there for a week and could have stayed one more. Massimo and Elisa have created an environment that makes you never want to leave and if you have to leave then they make you want to rush back.
I loved it and I will go many many more times!
