We stumbled across this place while walking back from one of the many cenotes in Tulum. The last cenote we visted was a bit south of Tulum and it was by the highroad, we figured we'd get a taxi sooner or later if we started walking but we didn't. After a really long walk and just as we came into Tulum, at the south end of main road, tired, hungry and thirsty, we noticed a small sign saying "The Hungry Veggie" and being vegetarians and all we thought, "Wow, we're getting lunch here, NOW".
It's a small place with a few tables outside or inside. The owners are a really nice younger couple. The guy is from England and she is from Mexico. The menu is great for a vegetarian. with a hand full of nice cooked vegetarian dishes and they make everything as you order so it's really fresh. We had both lunch and dinner here and i had a nice rice curry with mixed vegetables and a veggie burger. The curry was full of flavors and spicy, the burger was made out of soya and served with home made fried potatos and a really nice fresh salad.
We ordered the today's specials which was one of the above dishes served with an nice fresh non-acloholic drink for 60 pesos, totaly worth it! So if you're in Tulum and you're a vegetarian i suggest you try this place out atleast once.
