“One of the best places to eat in Tulum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

We came late on one of the last days of our vacation to Tulum. Too bad we hadn't visited this place earlier. It was great!
We had a couple of different Margaritas and then plowed through the menu. To start an excellent Pico de Gallo and guacamole. Also we tried the Tamales, all of them great and a good size for starters.
Then we had salad, bife ranchero, sopa de tortilla and desert. We were not disappointed!
Service was great and genuinely friendly. Food was fresh and full of taste! The place is inviting with a nice view of the ocean.
When in Tulum I can no recommend this place enough!

“Great food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

My husband and I were there last Sunday night for Salsa night and really enjoyed our expereince with La Zebra. I had a great grilled fish and he had the chili relleno. Our food, drinks, and service were all great. We really enjoyed being there on a Sunday night to watch the Salsa dancing. These couples were amazing. After dinner we sat and watched the dancing go on for an hour. We had a wonderful night. I highly reccomond it. Make reservation so that you can have a great table.

“Salsa Party”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

If you're staying in Tulum head over on a Sunday night for the salsa beach party. Excellent live band and some terrific dancing! They hand press sugar cane for the mojitos and chaiparinas so don't miss a unique and delicious drink!

“Terrible Experience- Bad food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

We went there on our last day in Tulum (May21) after reading all the reviews were expecting to have a great meal but sadly it's beautiful location was all the restaurant had, the food was truly overpriced, service extremly slow, the hostess was more interested in talking to the 2 guys at the next table about visitng the U.S than she cared to see that the other guests were not being taken care of. We ordered the fried whole fish, which tasted stale, not fresh at all, lacked flavor & salt, we had to go to the front after waiting for 15 mins to get the salt ourselves, the waiter did not even check on us during the entire meal, my husband's meat dish was tasteless & tough. Would not go back especially when one pays NY City prices for a subpar meal.

“Utterly delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

We visited this restaurant on the basis of other reviews from trip advisor & we were certainly not disappointed. A stunning beachfront location with shabby chic painted tables directly in front of the ocean. We ordered cocktails - an almond margarita and mohito, both delicious. Tacos with sea bass were a stand out - beautiful fresh, vibrant flavours. If they wrote a cook book I would be first in the queue to buy it. Service was welcoming and swift and the bill reasonable.
On the basis of our meal today I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.
