“A favorite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

We spent 10 days in tulum and are here 4 times. Prices are reasonable, portions are good, the chips and salsas are so good, and by far the best service we've had in tulum. The ladies that serve you are on top of it!

“Great arracheria and steaks! We go here every trip.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014

We have a house in Aldea Zama and go there 6-7 times a year. On every trip we go to visit Marko and Christina at El Asadero to have some very tasty steaks and sometime salmon or lobster. Very good food at a very reasonable price.
Sometimes we go twice in a week it is just that good.

“ALWAYS EXCELLENT!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

It has already become one of our MUST when in Tulum. We love Tulum and we already have been there 5 times in 5 years. El Asadero is definitely one of our favorites since shortly after it opened. The owner is such a devoted man to his work, that it's REALLY great to see how this place has grown remaining always of excellent quality. We arrived this time and saw that definitely he made some very nice improvement with decor. Great tables and nice ambience now! It was lovely to be recognized and welcomed by the owner, he knows we love the place and he always treats us with great sympathy. We had guacamole, salad, the fabulous beef and the excellent grilled vegetables. He now has a liquor license so it was also great to have beer! The flan was amazing. We went back a few nights later, always a guarantee to have great food and being greeted nicely. VERY recommended!

“The meat in here is awesome!”

I really loved this place, the meat is so soft and delicious, the tacos are great and cheap and they have amazing wines, you should try some! Salsa and chips are free and very nice too!

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

My husband (a carnivore) and I (vegetarian) wanted a nice dinner out, and this restaurant was recommended by a dive guide. It did not disappoint. You are given unlimited chips with 4 salsas to start. We also ordered guacamole which was excellent. Hubby got a piece of steak (cooked medium rare with the outside slightly charred), and it came with potatoes with small cubes of steak and cheese, served on a bed of cactus with sliced avacado. He loved it! I ordered the cactus and veggie with cheese entree, which was delicious. We ordered drinks - Cuba Libre (2), and were surprised that the bill was under 500 pesos (just under $40). We want to try other restaurants while we are here, but that meal was so good we may have to go back! We recommend it highly. Note: There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We were unable to get a table outside but the fans inside kept it very comfortable.
