It's all true: really tasty food, Mexican owned and run (not so common in Tulum), friendly and well priced. We had the chorizo with melted cheese, steak tacos, roasted onion and nopales and potato. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicous so dont fill up too much with the free nachos and dips. No alcohol but a refreshing agua de jamaica. Good flan to finish and all for $20. Expensive in Mexico but worth it. For the fish equivalent in Tulum check out El Camello Jr.

Wow. My favorite restaurant in all of Mexico. Amazing steak with potato and chorizo. Tacos are fine. Proprietor and his staff are quite competent and friendly. Will return whenever I am anywhere close.

Definitely one of the best Tacos in Mexico. The food is excellent and the service is fast and very friendly. The salsas are home made and delicious. The prices are very good. The only small downside is that they don't sell any alcohol, but it is worth a visit, if you want the real taste of Mexico. Thanks to all who have recommended the place.

This was such a find, it was off the main strip of restaurants and doesn't look much from the front, but the smell as we were waiting for our table was amazing! I had the tacos and they were very tasty and my boyfriend had a steak, wished I had that as it looked so good! Definitely worth asking the locals for directions too. Tip: arrive early as it gets busy and there aren't many tables.
