We ate at the Bistro on our first night in Tulum. The coconut shrimp was really good. We also had a fish dish, that I cannot recall the name of, which was also delicious. We ordered margaritas our first round and they were really good, however, the second round was mojitos. We came back several times for after dinner mojitos during our stay. The beach is beautiful and you can just walk up during happy hour and grab a lounger or a table and order. We ate at the actual bistro which was really nice too. Toes in the sand kind of place. Jorge was our waiter every time and he was really great and very friendly. The first night we also had Papas and he was also extremely friendly. This is a great place to relax and have a drink. The food was a bit pricey but also really good!

Sat out in the sand literally! Has a coverd area too in case of rain.
Gourmet food, a little pricey but really good food.
The Hotel there is #1 on the list too!

Amazing food and best staff ever! Jose May is the best in town, and his team go above and beyond. Had my wedding there in June and my 90 guests can not stop raving about Ziggy Beach! I can't wait to go back!

We thought the setting and service were excellent. The raw tuna starter dish was good, though too much thousand island sauce for our taste. The vegetable soup is exquisite. The fish and steak were good too. The pineapple creme brulee was to die for. All in all, great for dining (and we heard the breakfast was amazing).

Hubby and I were staying in Puerto Morelos when we decided to drive to Tulum for the day and check it out since neither of us had been there before. When we got there we pulled over at a beach area. It was windy and swimming was out of the question so we walked along the beach. After getting several snotty looks from tourists (we are plump and obviously NOT the "YOGA crowd) we got back into the car and drove on, passing one "YOGA" sign after another and one snide look after another... until we came to Ziggy Beach. We stopped in for a few drinks, half expecting the same snotty looks we had seen before. What we got was a warm welcome and fantastic service. Drinks were great and were not watered down at all. In fact.. they were much stronger than what I have seen at other beach bars in the Mayan Riviera. The bartender was a sweet heart and, should we ever accidentally end up back in Tulum.. we will be going back to Ziggy Beach..

So if you walk up and see two round rumps at the bar... say Hi!
