We visited Tulum as part of our honeymoon, and wanted somewhere really tasty to have dinner on our last night in Mexico. The owner of the hotel we were staying at recommended this restaurant, as did a taxi driver that we got a lift with (he couldn't praise it enough!), so after seeing good reviews on here too we decided it sounded like a good bet.
We weren't disappointed. While the decor is definitely 'no frills', the food was fantastic and couldn't have been any fresher. The were lots of locals eating there too, as well as a handful of tourists, which we always class as a good sign.
We ordered a small plate of shrimp ceviche to share (which was a very generous portion), with beers, then my husband had the coconut shrimp as a main and I had the deep fried whole fish. Both tasted fantastic and we left there feeling full, satisfied and only a little lighter in the pocket as the whole thing was very reasonably priced. Definitely not one to miss!
