“Excellent Mexican food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

We visited El Camello while we were visiting Tulum. Our tour guide Andres Contreras recommended us. We loved the fresh and delicious see food. The place is always full of people because it's well known for it's fine meals for a very good price. We had sea food soup, lobster and fried fish, everything was delicious.

“Don't waste you time eating other seafood.”

This is the best and biggest in town. Stick out that queue and enjoy the love when you get that plastic table and cold Pacifico. A++

“How Can You Go Wrong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

When the restaurant is associated with a fresh-seafood shop that sells to the locals? the fish tacos are wonderful, but beware the green sauce served with the chips unless you have an asbestos tongue! And if you're there after dark, bring the mosquito repellant; you'll need it! If you fiorget, there's a convenient "farmacia" right next door.

“Authentic Big Portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

Great value, large portions, very tasty. Lots of locals in the restaurant. The fried fish tacos are my favourite, the tortillas were very fresh. My husband had the fish Veracruz style and he really enjoyed it. We will be back next time we are in Tulum.

“Excellent food...very affordable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

This one of the best local places to eat in Tulum. The fish is fantastic and the pricing is very affordable. For two huge pieces of fish (with rice and beans), two beers, and a generous helping of chips and several dipping options it only cost 220 pesos. The place doesn't look the greatest, but don't be fooled, it's one of the best places to eat at in Tulum.
