“Great food, very crowded, not so nice ambiance”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2012

Our ceviche was great, and a small portion for 70 pesos was enough for two of us. The restaurant is extremely popular with Mexicans and Americans, and we had to wait 30 minutes at 3PM for a table, but with the fresh seafood and good prices it was worth it.

“Our favorite in Tulum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2012

If you like Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, this is the place for you. A little hole in the wall at the end of the pueblo, El Camello cranks out simply outstanding Mexican seafood dishes at a great price. The seafood soup is out of this world. The service is excellent as well.

Get there early though as getting a table can be a challenge!

“Best fish I ever had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2012

As fresh as it can be, this casual fish place is extremely popular, so show ut early or late. The shrimp coctails and ceviches are great but huge so take a small or share one to have room for the wonderful fish.

“Mexicans and tourists alike cue for El Camello”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

Mexican and Tourists alike fill this "truck stop" like family restaurant found on the south end of the main street of Tulum. I had fried fish: large, the freshest possible (as locals pull up with their catch), complete with head, served with rice. YUM (everyone agreed). Food served with different salsas . Still hot chips. YUM, again.
