Description: The Restaurant at ZAMAS is the pulse of the property; widely renowned for its beautiful ocean views and fantastic food, it creates a beckoning locale in the mode of Tulum as it should be. We're committed to sourcing local ingredients to compose elegant, innovative, and seasonally driven dishes. Fresh in concept and preparation, the menu’s varied flavors appeal to many palates. From the gambas pil pil to the thin crust margherita, from Irma’s famous huevos rancheros to the indulgent ricotta doughnuts, a meal at ZAMAS is an experience not to be missed.

We stopped just for a lunch get away after the ruins. We had very nice and friendly service with the most wonderful view. Food was very good and it was nice to just chill in a perfect atmosphere.

Eat-take a walk on the beach-enjoy the warm weather while escaping the cold in North America.

Driving through the main street of Tulum is not for the faint of heart. Cars, commercial trucks, mopeds, cats, dogs, pedestrians, & bicyclists all share a worn out, 2-way street that is about the width of a 1-lane, 1-way street by American standards. There are no street lights & no sidewalks, which increases how treacherous the drive can be once the sun sets. I strongly discourage driving this route & even more strongly discourage walking it.

Zamas is on the southern edge of the strip & is one of the few (if not only) restaurants with its own parking lot.

The service, cocktails & appetizers were all good, but the view is definitely the best part of this experience.

We went for an evening meal. The light was so dim that i had trouble reading the menu! I had the recommended Danny burger and was quite happy with it. Nice location for an evening out.

We ended up at Zamas our first night in Tulum and enjoyed it very much. As such we decided to go back on our last night in Tulum also. We enjoyed the live music both nights (Sat and Fri). Sand under your feet. Plenty of parking. The ceviche was fantastic. Guacamole was great. Classic margaritas were delicious. Pricier than restaurants in town for sure but you are paying for the beach location. For 4 people, 2 apps, 4 mains, 4 cocktails and half a dozen beers was only about $2000 MXN including a generous tip. We had the same server for both evenings and he was fantastic. After our dinner the first nice we wondered onto the beach and the stars were unreal. No complaints!

Laid Back-Beach Side café w/ great food, handsome waiters, snorkeling, rocks to climb on & super soft sand! Was in Playa del Carmen for a wk, its quite a drive (40+ mi) to Tulum but LOVED the vibe there. Zamas has it's own large beach, covered outdoor seating and a few beach chairs. My friend said it was the best cup of coffee she'd ever had. The ceviche portion was HUGE and really fresh! (160 pesos $12) A giant scoop of fresh guacamole was only 70 pesos ($5). Veggie Tacos (4 for 105 pesos - $8) Would have stayed all day and gone back every day if not so far from where I stayed.
