Description: The Restaurant at ZAMAS is the pulse of the property; widely renowned for its beautiful ocean views and fantastic food, it creates a beckoning locale in the mode of Tulum as it should be. We're committed to sourcing local ingredients to compose elegant, innovative, and seasonally driven dishes. Fresh in concept and preparation, the menu’s varied flavors appeal to many palates. From the gambas pil pil to the thin crust margherita, from Irma’s famous huevos rancheros to the indulgent ricotta doughnuts, a meal at ZAMAS is an experience not to be missed.

We ate here twice. It is good if you are craving an american bite. We had a burger (which was amazing), pizza (can be skipped), enchiladas (super great), and two different salads (which had really fresh veggies). Nice spot on the beach either day or night.

I didn't want to go to Zama's as it is one of the first places I used to go years ago and I've found it less interesting in recent years. But for location on the water you can't beat it. My two table partners had yogurt and their eyes watered when they saw my huevros rancheros. They really were excellent. Tortillas from the molino in town I imagine and not from the super market like the chips served with guacamole. The eggs were a little too cooked but still runny. I had a side order of potatoes that were served cold but otherwise were really a great side with roasted orange sweet peppers. The chaya orange juice and chaya lemonade were just right and the coffee was good too. There seems to be a new trend this season in Tulum of making the habanero sauce in a blender with olive oil and garlic instead of the traditional way of comal roasted peppers in lime juice. It's a little less piquant and just as tasty.

Second time in tulum and 5th? Time at Zamas, great tacos at lunchtime! Tables on the beach, the surf and breeze, awesome. Evenings the menu changes, from enchiladas to whole fish, seviche is good too. Best salads we've had in mexico. Good misic most nights. All in all a god experience and food.

Right on the beach serving good drinks and nice Mexican food. Atmosphere is fantastic and really laid back. Live music most nights. Service when we went around 5pm was outstanding. Great place for the kids too.

The atmosphere is very casual and the dining is right on the beach with the sand at your feet. The guacamole and ceviche were delicious! There is plenty of activity along the beach to view while you dine. The prices are a little high.
