“A wonderful place to be!”
Reviewed November 6, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We loved our time in this tastefully appointed, comfortable and pleasant house. It is the only house in the area that is built in a traditional local style with Mexican tyles. All other houses are more or less exchangeable. It has all the modern day comforts one could ask for. Enjoy the hammocks, the pool the beautiful view from the rooftop or just laze about in one of the many corners and terrasses. We hope to be back soon!

“2017 May Vacation”
Reviewed May 17, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Casa Perla was a fantastic rental for our vacation.
The rooms were very comfortable for sleeping and the open areas get a great breeze from the seas.
The staff was great. The location of the house was wonderful with 2 restaurants and a cenote just down the road and the other areas of Tulum ( beaches and ruins ) are really close by.

Thank yu for such a wonderful vacation

“Fabulous home”
Reviewed May 3, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Spacious, beautiful, well-groomed and staffed home. Wonderful hospitality by the owner. Ladies trip for 9 and we had such a fun, relaxing time - it was the best! Italy and staff took care of the home each day (except Sunday). Italy cooked us dinner one evening and it was absolutely delicious and we had enough leftovers for breakfast the next day.

The pool was perfect size with floats available.

Beach is a close walk, though it had a bit much of kelp and trash that we did not feel comfortable spending a full day at the beach - we went to a beach club elsewhere in Tulum as a day trip.

Wifi and cellular were variable throughout the day, but more or less expected for our remote location.

We used a rental van using a recommendation from the owner. It was great for excursions to downtown, cenote, grocery store, and the ruins. Free parking spot was great.

Overall, excellent stay and we would come back again!! Thank you Victor!

“Beautiful and relaxing setting”
Reviewed March 6, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

The location is perfect and amazing. On one side ,the view is the beach and on the other side the mangrove jungle with unbelievable bird watching. The house is warm and friendly, perfect for groups or families with its own pool. Be sure to have at least one of the meals made by Italy-the best mole sauce ever.

“Best vacation in Mexico EVER!”
Reviewed March 6, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

From the moment we arrived to our" home away from home" our stay was glorious. Case Perla is beautiful, very clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. We were over joyed with the spacious bedrooms (with air-conditioning) and the attaching bathrooms. Having two kitchens and two large family rooms was a bonus. Easy for making meals for the entire group or having the staff make a delicious dinner.
The location is perfect. A beautiful beach across the street and restaurants within walking walking distance. A must is a morning stroll to the Cenota down the street for a swim . Or, take a short drive to downtown Tulum for shopping or dining.
l would highly recommend Casa Perla. I can't wait to go back.

“Great house, beautiful location”
Reviewed August 9, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Even though there were only 3 of us, we rented this house because of the pool and the location and were very happy with it. You definitely a car to stay here, but driving in and out of Tulum was easy. A meal a day cooked by Italy, the housekeeper was included in the rental and a big plus. We opted for breakfasts mainly which were delicious. 20 minutes walk down the road is a great cenote for swimming (perfect for the early morning pre-breakfast dip). Across the road from the cenote are two eating options, the more expensive but excellent Blue Sky and the cheaper Casa Cenote. The view of the sea from the latter was perfect. The food is basic but still enjoyable. Having a private house with the pool was the perfect retreat at the end of each day. The rooms were spacious, the facilities excellent and wi-fi faster than Australia (that's more of a comment on Australian internet than Mexican!)

“Spacious and elegant”
Reviewed March 17, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The house is beautifully presented and carefully maintained. Lively colors and interesting pieces of art make it interesting to the eye, each room having something nice to offer. My husband and I stayed on the second floor at the front, with views to the ocean. What a joy to wake up to the sunrise, what a joy to sleep with the sound of the sea.

Everything felt very safe in the area and Italy and Elias were around tending to the property and preparing food for us in the morning. The beach was perhaps not as nice as expected - it's very rocky so if the water is a bit choppy (which it was), it's very difficult to get in to bathe. I walked about 5 mins round to the next bay and was able to get in easily there and snorkel a bit too.

It's a wonderful place for family gatherings, with so many genteel spots to gather and enjoy the atmosphere. A balcony to the sea, a hammock in the sand pit in the garden, comfy seats on the balcony by the pool or on the balcony upstairs. Or maybe a table for 2 on the balcony overlooking the garden, with nice pottery on the wall. Very charming.

Liked best: Spacious and beautifully presented
Liked least: Opening the gate was a little tricky as it was windy and easy for it to smack into your arm. Would be nice with another entrance other than the gate for the car.
